Chirp chirp,

Sings the dawn chorus,

For it is the expression

Of harmony, amongst themselves:

Free and happy

With love, uncaged

Or is it just the opposite,

Just like mine,

Mournful and solitary,

That wakes me up every day

Only to hope to cut all the ties,

With love, caged?
