Burden Of Rain

The cool smell 

Of rain in the air

To sit awaiting 

The storm to begin

The breeze picks 

Up without a care 

Goosebumps cover 

My chilled skin

Skies darkened a 

Forboding grey

Strong breeze 

Carries dark gloom

Dense black clouds 

Takes over day

Gives the feeling 

Of pending doom

Lightning zig zags 

Through the sky

Thunder booms so 

Loud it's insane

When heavy black 

Clouds start to cry

As they unload their 

Burden of rain
