Promising Breeze
Promising Breeze
Longing from across an ocean of hope
Yet held back by tides of emotions
Not wanting to think it impossible,
Yet must admit to the painful truth
Melancholy falls over me as an,
Oppressive breeze kisses my face,
Lost in thought how pointless is a
Heart if not allowed to love useless
Are emotions if not allowed to feel
Lungs breath in heavily weighed
Hopelessness futile seems a life
To live, reaching for the need to stop
The ocean from turning into despair
Left with a desire for a cleansing
Downpour to wash away wretched
Thoughts leaving a small chance
Of hope, with a soft promising breeze
Along with, an optimistic ray of
Sunshine, to kiss my once somber face
Again a brightness engulfs my future,
Chasing despair away.
