Blue Glass Bottle
Blue Glass Bottle
I brought a bottle of glass blue as the sea,
I was told whatever put in it forever there it'll be.
As a kid, I kept it with me at all time hoping to find a use of it,
I found a lot of toys but none in the bottle will fit.
But as one dark rainy night, I sat with a bottle on my table,
Drenched in sorrow likes of which I read-only in fables.
My first tear without a cry rolled off the corner of my eye,
I let it slide in the blue glass bottle and it became my ally.
I finally found something so shallow that my bottle can devour,
And how in no time eating my feelings became its power.
As years went I started filling it with my stupid ideas and doomed dreams,
I feed it more bitter words, anger, pity and screams.
Eventually, my shallow heart became too heavy for the glass,
After years of beating my trusted ally gave up alas.
As I lay in one last scream from my heart's sodom,
It became my blue glass bottle with a crack in the bottom.
