Beginnings and Endings..

What shall I write that you have not felt before,

What shall I say that you have not heard before,

Of houses that Nature covers with its garment,

Of homes that was lit with music once.

Now ruins sing the song of melancholy,

Of better times and seasons past,

But all that begins, has to end,

All that lives, has to fade.

I grew up with the sunrise once,

Joyful bounties and unmitigated bliss,

Dreams and reality merged in rapture,

Taking for granted, the times that were.

I roam now, after the storm,

Wandering between solitude and loneliness,

Was I blessed to have been born,

Or was it a curse, to be in denial,

Of aching memories, were even death seemed not a nemesis.

My palms are empty,

A king deprived of throne,

A sandcastle had I built,

Of beginnings, but not of endings,

Peace and solitude comes in waves,

To remind me, that a beautiful sunset,

Means end can be ecstatic too.

My thoughts submerged ,

My feelings deprived,

But I have to stumble on,

With a rusted key, of another birth,

A renewed gathering,

Of lost beginning.

The road is long, yet I have to take,

Covered with nettles and wilderness,

Maybe an unknown path,

Yet to find a new horizon,

To release my pain of soul,

Destiny beckons me,

Of endings and beginning.
