Tragedy

Battles Fought

Battles Fought

1 min
111

Battles fought and won against the darkness

Succumbing to wounds so great

Falling to the bland gray earth below

Children gather around and pray

White feathery wings bloodstained

Bandages cover porcelain eyes

Her weak grasp holds a few snowdrops

First to bloom in evergreen spring

The ailing angel downcast and silent

No smile or frown to be seen

Two souls are kindness incarnate

Carrying her to an unknown place

Hark melodies of melancholy play from paradise

With golden harps and vielles
