Baggage

Baggage

Being the elder daughter of the family,
She has been passed on the baggage,
Which everyone is striding to get rid of.

The poor girl, too, has sundry restrictions,
To question the narcissism she is facing—
The restrictions imposed by the abusers.

And she has been suffering for decades,
Unable to figure out a route for escape—
As her soma and soul have been sapped.

Ever willing to forgive all those maltreat—
But the ache she is bearing is so intense,
That it is indeed arduous for her to forget.

But the dreamer girl still has abiding hope,
Of soaring high like a stubborn storm bird,
By shattering all those constraining chains.
