Abstract Tragedy Others

As the darkness prevails

As the darkness prevails

They asked me what do I do the whole night looking at the ceiling, with no sleep,

I chuckled and told them that I let the breeze touch my untamed body while I counted the number of times the fan took rounds ,

I told them that I see the world moving from night to morning ,

I told them that I see the sun come up ,

But aahhhhhhh!

I wanted to screech out my voice and say,

That I see how the world slips into a deep slumber while some swollen eyes remain devoid of sleep,

That all night with no sleep I try to conquer the noise in head,

I wanted to tell them that I try to feel ,

Because the only escape I had was to feel ,

To go through it all each day until it was gone,

To Feel all the years of anger, sorrow, guilt and despair,

I wanted to tell them that I try to find answers to some unresolved questions ,

Of how they feel so little and I feel so much more,

I wanted to tell them it was the only time I removed the veil of happiness,

That it was the only time I could truly fathom myself ,                                 The only time where I allowed myself to feel, feel and feel,

Because on the other times of the day ,

I feel incapable of doing that.

Again!!

They asked me what do I do the whole night looking at the ceiling, with no sleep ,

I chuckled and told them that I let the breeze touch my untamed body while I counted the number of times the fan took rounds .
