You are in the sways of the daffodils,

In that soft touch of the oleanders -

You are in the waves in the mustard fields,

In the sun-kissed faces of the sunflowers...

You are on that smear of 'haldi',

Lighting up the vibrant bride -

You are on that early morning smiley,

That makes your whole day bright...

You are the dazzling sun

Smiling up from the toddler's little book,

You are her favourite Winnie the Pooh

Peeping from a cosy nook...

You are sunshine and happiness spreading

You are the fire that burns within -

You are the brightness that dazzles

And the subtlety that soothes,

Yellow, my friend, you are the eternal flame that glows...
