An Ode To The Army General
An Ode To The Army General
My dear army General,
To you I write
Why do you follow examples of General Dyer,
The Duke of Marlbro and Prince Eugene?
I think I love the way you shout
To your army men,
To kill and fire us to death
A war that destructs innocent lives
The glorious lightning bolt,
Is perhaps the best example
Hope you get the knock of hell
Summoning you to death
Hope you experience that terrificus
Of losing yourself at your sight
I'll have to be bold; manage
The slippery blood from blemishing
My shoe with embroidery of gold
The sentimental tears
That shed from a childing mother's
Eyes; when she has to bid,
Her unborn baby "goodbyes"
The blood, overflown
Caused the crimson in August ponds
A war, you don't take blame of,
And secretly abscond
My dear army General, to you I write.
I'll spend the other day,
How do I survive the night?
Which fills the air,
With the perfume of valour
In a soldier's evaporating blood?
My hate for you is intense,
The ice of this hate, I know will never condense.
