An Ode To Perfection

A thousand bells echoed in my mind,

Some of hope and others despair,

The hand that held strong always,

Was none other than mother dearest.

She kept me strong in storms and dark,

She hugged me hard when I cried,

She served her life for the society as well,

Helping humanity to rejuvenate mankind.

A loving teacher, a brilliant student,

A caring wife, an awesome mother,

And within all, there peeped an author,

Who could spell casts with the words she wrote.

She played the piano and the guitar,

She loved thy neighbours as thyself,

I know not what perfection meant, had not she personified it.

The perfect homemaker with a disciplined life,

A superwoman by all descriptions,

She left her physical being to the deadly pandemic,

But yet as a queen never fails to rule the hearts.

She lives forever in our minds,

A teacher who played the role of mother to her students,

My mother is a super mother I say,

As she is and will always be my guiding light for all righteous acts and ways.
