An Epiphany
An Epiphany
Sauntering through the countryside, he had an epiphany,
The picturesque of that place revived the glorious moments many.
That phase of life that he once used to scorn,
He covets it now, with a heavy heart and mourns.
Glimpses of that delightful, peaceful time,
As if mocked him and his dreams of being sublime.
He was now once again chirping with the birds,
Toying with the branches, guiding the herds,
In sync with nature, he was now,
Pure bliss to have, he knew how.
He paced with his flocks,
As the sun disappeared with the birds that were on perch,
Epiphany he had again,
As he heard the approaching troops that were out in his search.
