An Enduring Faith
An Enduring Faith
Amidst the waves of the great ocean,
I surf among the ferocious sharks,
Fear is deep-seated; anxious I am,
However, faith, is still alive inside.
Let me trace the revival of my soul,
Indeed my Lord, thou saith once:
'You believe in faith; make it strong,'
Yes! Thy divinity elevates my faith.
Oh Lord, who am I to intervene?
Thou hold my string, in thy hands,
Merely a part of dramatics personae,
Playing my role at thy desirous will.
Everything, I need not; to rejoice life,
As thou gavest this life, to celebrate,
Never, have I strived, to be perfect,
I only yearn to differ from the rest.
I surely owe, to speak out my belief,
Demand what destiny has in store,
Perchance, one might ask too less,
Albeit destiny has something more.
Today, I pray to thee; give me not -
What I demand, but what I deserve!
Solely thou know-est, the best for me,
My faith endures, whist I bow to thee!
