An Autumn Evening

An Autumn Evening

It was a beautiful autumn evening,

and I was walking on the streets.

The aura was calm and cool,

with the leaves on the road,

the light spell of rain,

and the little birds chirping.

But, out of all the beautiful sights around me,

I noticed her the most.

The girl who was walking ahead of me.

I could not see her face,

but,

I could see her bright, red hair flowing past her shoulders and stopping at her waist.

I wanted to see her eyes very badly.

As I watched her walk before me,

her legs covered with the rough jean material,

her feet clad with boots,

her red hair swaying slightly as she moved forward,

I was entranced.

Suddenly, I saw a car dashing from the other way,

dangerously close to the girl's side.

I rushed towards the girl,

and pushed her aside.

The car had hit me,

and I fell to the ground,

hitting my head and scraping my arm.

The impact was hard on me,

and I felt pain take over my entire body.

After a while,

I could flutter my eyes open,

and I felt prickling pain shooting through my head.

I was about to close them again,

until I saw her.

Her huge doe-like green eyes stared at mine,

and held me in a trance.

Her face was rosy,

adorned with a few freckles.

Her soft, pink lips moved,

and I realised she was speaking.

She asked me in a hushed whisper,"Are you alright?",

And I replied,"Quite alright",

for, I had seen and saved a beautiful angel on an autumn evening.

Then, I closed my eyes in peace,

with the memories of her red hair, rosy, freckle-covered face, and huge doe-like green eyes warming my heart.
