The Magic in Your Eyes

The twinkle in your eyes is God’s gift to you,

He dropped two stars from the sky

To place within your precious eyes,

Making you special; one of a kind.

The twinkle isn’t easily seen, except by a few blessed;

At first, I couldn’t recon the glow,

Coming straight from a heart full of emotions;

Harmony of soul and sincerity of spirit!

It’s the simplest of thoughts and actions,

That thrills you from within;

It’s truly wonderful how those eyes sparkle,

To the melody of notes, a bliss

The sparkle shone bright in those innocent eyes,

Yet sometimes I think it’s an illusion.

And when I’m alone, and in despair,

That twinkle flashes back; full of godliness.

It’s amazing, no doubt; what that twinkle can do,

It’s so magical, so pure and honest too;

It touches the soul, it makes me smile,

Bringing hope and optimism to my weariness.

……… And the magic in your eyes leaves me wanting more.
