A “THING”

A “THING”

I tell you, it’s going to be a doozy, the grand finale

Everything’s going to go wrong; everything’s gone

Wrong will be back and worse; anything that can go wrong

Will. One catastrophe? You can deal with it. Multitudes, simultaneously?

I have to consult the manual (which one), then get ready to run.

The Nightmare, Armageddon, Apocalypse, the ultimate battle of the sexes

We’ve allowed the demons out to play and now they're saying, “we are here

to stay.” Time for “a thing”, a great unraveling. You invited us in, served us tea

All the while we were waiting; for you to flee. You don’t understand

We’re here to stay, to take over; make you all slaves. Slaves, you say

I saw how they treated slaves in Spartacus, sort of sexy, but not very nice

We are real, not a trick of the mind; something to play with, flirt with in your

Fevered imagination. You know what we want. Total control. A world with no rules

Except ours. Humans are split between emphasizing individuality and collectivism

Neither will save you. We attack where and when you are most vulnerable

Most are at risk. “A Thing”! You unimaginative fools. It’s going to be a doozy

The grand finale [no champagne or candy floss - we’re serious]

The Nightmare, Armageddon,

Apocalypse, the ultimate battle of the sexes

Coming to your city soon
