A Star
A Star
I'm there under the sky looking
Just laying down and staring
Without my eyes even blinking
At how stars are always twinkling.
I've been in this kind of plight
Where I walked during the night
It's just looking like a dark pit
Until there's a star shined bright.
When the dark clouds moved
And the star is now surrounded
The darkness had me blinded
Now, I'm just in middle, stranded.
I've never taken a step forward
Standing like a statue, frozen
As cold the wind hit me, I shivered
To walk in that chilly night, I'm afraid.
But, soon the clouds steer clear
Giving me a view of that star
Which has been shining forever
Even when the dark clouds cover.
That star taught me a lesson
On how I shouldn't lessen
My star having bravery shine
Including in the darkness, even.
