A Night

Drank a few beers and lit some cigarettes, 

Played soft music and leaned on your shoulders. 

Half moon, few stars in the sky, 

I felt hypnotized by the night.

Waves in the ocean looked so carefree, 

And I was dancing along to its melody. 

Bought a few cocktails back to the hotel, 

Heard my lover's laughter when I danced and sang.

The night seemed like it was going to last forever; 

Now looking back, it feels like a pretty dream I would love to remember.
