A Lover's Thought

There was this promise of a long drive that paused,

Which the world seemed to have caused,

Where

I was ensconced in the banks of a beach,

Devoid of all the city's screech.

My mind swerved to dip,

And delved into memories deep,

Where

I soldiered on towards the mirth of our lovely tryst,

And sidled through our togetherness like a checklist.

The waves of the sea rustled noisily in the breeze,

The chilling sensation it exuded, made me freeze,

Where

I traced you with bouts of hallucination,

That led me to the wilderness of your imagination.

I scanned my loving mind,

Hoping to find,

Where

The very thought of a special you,

evoked a deep sensational hue.

And that's when I'd realized

Of life's cornucopia of blessings,

The choicest one by far,

was the joy of loving someone,

As exceptional as you are!

The warmth of a mere hello,

Created an impact of halo,

Such was your grateful attitude,

I caressed with gratitude.

And today is that special day

To express my thoughts in a distinct way
