A little taste of freedom

She stood uncertainly

By the fence,

The gate yawned ,

Into an unknown

Stone Path,

Leading to nowhere! .

Staunch pillars stood by,

To give her a goodbye?

A goodbye to expectations,

Imaginations,

Unrealistic

Vibrations,

That had tied her to 

Toxic relationships.

Fighting against the tide,

To earn respect in time,

Her worth not measured,

In a dime!

Tentative steps ,

Crossed the threshold 

Of uncertainty,

Leading to a freedom 

To eternity!

The possibilities 

Were in infinities,

It just needed

A catalyst

To understand 

And to know 

That God's plan 

Was now in play!

For though she loved humanity,

Working herself to the bone,

She left out that 

One clause,

To love herself first,

Not feed her ego 

But her soul,

That yearned to be loved

As an equal ! 

At breaking point ,

The gates opened ,

The path to freedom lay ahead ,

To escape the conditionings,

That defined "Woman "!

Just spread your wings and fly ,

My girl,

Hurl 

Yourself into the sky 

And learn to be yourself,

Before you give of yourself! 

For,

When you love yourself,

You are filled to the brim.

Then bursts forth 

A glow , a confident stance,

That lends it's shine 

On not just me and mine ,

But on the Whole 

Thine ! 

"Forgive them for they know not what they do"

A Christ did say so ,

But today ,

They opened avenues ,

For you ,

When you thought everything

Existed only in that well 

You lived in! 

The gate that opened outward,

Now opens inward,

For that's the journey 

You need to make!
