A Letter to the Sailor!

A Letter to the Sailor!

In the quiet expanse of an
unexpected encounter,
a stranger wandered into the pages of my heart's unspoken tales.
He lingered there, tracing the lines of dreams
I had woven in ink, and whispered promises of turning fiction into living truth,
A journey from imagined worlds to shared reality.

Drawn by that spark, I let desires take his shape,
pouring forth emotions like gentle rain on parched earth.
Yet, when the current grew deep, he stepped back,
calling it a tide too vast for his shores to hold.
In a week's turn, indifference bloomed where warmth had been,
and he shielded himself with humble words: "You dwell in realms beyond my reach".

I had set aside my quiet pride to welcome him in,
only to find the doors, once opened, now softly jammed,
trapping echoes of what might have been. His retreat felt like a dream dissolving at dawn,
yet the tenderness lingered, pulling me forward
despite the whispers of wisdom urging distance.
Oh, how fiercely the heart inclines toward that rugged strength,
yearning to sail uncharted seas together, to weave a hidden cocoon of safety
just two souls, entwined in simple, profound peace.

In time, I chose the gentler path of stepping back,
knowing some spirits cannot hold the fullness of another's fire.
Still, peace settles like evening light over restless waters;
no regret shadows the space I carved for him.

The world may counsel restraint, speak of auras to uphold,
but when the heart begins its quiet fall, what boundaries remain for a soul in love's tender thrall?!
That soft corner endures, a quiet flame, ever glowing, never truly dimmed.
