A Knot

A piece of thread,

Cut by a pair of scissors.

Never knew it would part ways with its other half.

Those separated companions,

Longing to make ends meet,

I couldn't resist reuniting them.

I lifted my hands,

Tried to join the ends.

I tied a knot,

The distance was all it brought.

I tried to bring them close,

Differences were all that arose.

They were not the same anymore,

Not in one frame anymore.

The connection wasn't the same,

Their relationship was burning up in flames.

They were separated by a knot,

Love was what they were falling of short.

It was a tangled mess,

All it caused was stress.

They had problems,

And we're in a situation of distress.

Their connection was not the same anymore,

They cannot be with each other for even year four.

One day the knot will untie,

And it will be time for them to finally say goodbye.
