A Gamble Called Life

A Gamble Called Life

Life- t'is a gamble, a dangerous one

Only some have partially won.

Deceiving you, behind the bright colours of hope

Lies a black canvas devoid of any hope

You yearn for happiness, you yearn for peace

Only for you to shatter into a thousand pieces.

Leading you onto an imaginary path.

Too late for you to realize your vision was obscured

Blinded by false doctrines, your judgement was clouded.

Every known feeling of bliss, oblivion leave your mind

Sorrow, anger, pain and regrets enter your mind.

You're trapped endlessly

With no way, confined.

In a room with no doors

You sigh helplessly, your heart feeling sore.

T'is in deep waters you've ventured

A gamble in which you unknowingly entered.

Life- t'is a gamble, a dangerous one

Only some have partially won.
