A Day In A Dog's Life
A Day In A Dog's Life
The first rays of dawn,
Came like a delicate fawn.
Sun shone on my eyes,
I woke, my coat full of flies.
Yesterday, at night, quietly I had crept,
On someone's doormat,
I had slept.
At 6 am, came the milkman,
He shooed me and away I ran.
Now, my hunger I had to beat,
I went to forage for some meat.
When I entered the butcher's shop,
He charged at me, holding a mop.
Howling and crying, I had to flee.
<p>Oh! How much more miserable could life be?
From everywhere, I had to run.
People hate dirty dogs, they think they're no fun.
Then, a little girl came with her dad.
Luckily, they were good, not bad.
The girl said, "Aw! This dog is so good.
"They gave me biscuits and food.
The girl's dad picked me up.
After a wash and meal,
I was a really cute pup.
She said, "Don't give up, never feel sad,
Life will never let you feel bad!"
