Gratitude

Gratitude fills my heart with light,

A feeling so pure and bright,

It brings a smile upon my face,

And fills me with a warm embrace.

For every blessing that I've received,

And every moment that I've lived,

I am grateful to the universe,

For all its love and all its worth.

The sun that shines upon my skin,

And the rain that falls so thin,

The stars that twinkle in the night,

And the birds that take their flight.

For every person that I've known,

And every love that I've shown,

I am grateful for their presence here,

And the joy that they bring near.

For every struggle that I've faced,

And every hardship that I've embraced,

I am grateful for the lessons learned,

And the strength that I have earned.

For every day that I wake up,

And every moment that I sup,

I am grateful for this precious life,

And the beauty that surrounds my sight.

Gratitude is a gift so pure,

That fills my soul and makes me sure,

That no matter what may come my way,

I will always have reasons to say:

Thank you, thank you, universe,

For all the blessings you disperse,

I am grateful for this life I lead,
