A Dark Figure At The Hilltop

A Dark Figure At The Hilltop

Once I went to my grandma's town, to spend my holidays.

I was excited & full of joy, as I was visiting my grandma's town for the first time, in my childhood days.

The town was away from the noises of the city, & there the nature wears a crown of biodiversity.

There were many green bushes & trees, & butterflies & bees...

The days were pleasant & warm, because of Sun's share.

& the atmosphere of night, was filled with cool air.

That night we slept on our terrace as usual.

But the environment that night seemed to be very casual.

I was feeling thirsty & got up to drink water.

But what I saw really made me bother.

I saw something strange in the hills!!

On seeing it the little detective inside me got thrilled.

Unfortunately, I could not go outside, as it was night.

& had to wait for another day's bright.

Next day, I was having brunch in the afternoon,

When my granny told me about the jungle festival which will be organised soon.

It really doesn't bothered me anyway; but then I came to know, that the festival will be organised at the hill the next day.

This was my perfect chance I could start my investigation;

& to know more about that dark figure, which frequently appeared & disappeared like a apparition.

The festival was organised in the hill at night;

& the area was filled with lamps light.

Quite strange, festival was organised only at the left side of the hill,

the other half was restricted & only had the dark's fill.

I asked about the other half from my friends.

They told me that there was something very wrong & strange,

& suggested me not to go beyond the hills fence ends.

But I went there to know about that figure, I saw there; it was right 10:45 p.m. when I entered there.

I walked for half an hour believing that I'll find something.

But I decided to go back as I found nothing.

Just as I was walking back I saw something.

There behind the bushes I saw a little girl; she was very pretty & cute & her eyes glittered like a pearl.

Oh God! That girl vanished from that place suddenly, I left that place in no time & ran away hurriedly.

By that time I had understood that the little girl was only that dark figure.

Which I saw from my terrace when I got up to drink water.

I was wrong because I believed that she was a ghoul, but really she was a good soul.

When I was running my ankle got sprained, I could do nothing & was lying there in pain.

I could not see anybody there; that little girl came, sat beside me & took my great care.

She told me not to be afraid of her.

After saying this she vanished, I wish I could thank her.

I could not completely recall, but I knew I had to go somewhere;

then I remembered that I had to go back to the fair.

I could walk now & ran back, thinking I got late;

When I reached, I saw my granny waiting for me at the fair's gate.

It was 11:50 p.m. when I reached the fair but I was on time.

My granny asked me where I was & told her that I was fine.

I didn't told the truth of that girl to anybody, because her fear was good.

As it prevented the lumper jacks to go on the hill & cut wood.
