A Commoner's Uncommon Refrain
A Commoner's Uncommon Refrain

It is the universal law of nature
That you entered alone and
That you will exit alone.
Rest is transient
With life in transition
One season to another
In the way, structured
Is society
As a pyramid
Few will lead
For rest to follow.
Masses will always toil
For the rulers to take the spoil
Many isms have gone by
Commoners have remained passerby.
Reigns of kings have always left a blood trail
Of the common soldiers
gn-center">Widows and fatherless children.
Yet the kings make a high note in history
And the commoners, not even a footnote.
God or the Guru
Gadgets they are
For instant gratification
In a 2- minute oodles of
Genuflection.
Philosophies suck
Meant for the masses
Without any pluck.
A life- long trend that
Which you cannot buck.
Live for the moment
Leave aside the foment
For in the long run
You alone will trend.
