The 5 Year Old Spectator

The boy entered the home, seeking for fun and comfort.

Mom was cooking, His favorite meal;

Both were prepared to enjoy the sunset.

The ring at the door, the boy dropped his toy.

His face became white.

He hid lest he becomes prey.

They encountered a ferocity beast.

He spoke out of rage, which the boy couldn’t understand.

The discussion heated, and he slapped the mom.

Abusing was his regular job, the boy never understood 

Why his mom got beaten!

The boy cried, the entire scene being a spectator.

The event got over. The boy wiped mom’s tears.

Mom kissed him and went into the kitchen.

Why mom bears, all the pain!

Children follow the path of elders and society. They believe in how we treat the others,

Domestic violence prevalent in most of the places. Kids perceive things differently.

It may have an impact on their lives and personalities.

At the age of five, one may be a spectator, but we can avoid such spectators

And make an attempt to suppress such beast and spectators in the next generations.
