Rinku had eyed the first rank in the class. However, this determination of him was unmatched by his phobia towards studying. He was teased every now and then by his classmates for the wrong answers he made. The adolescent even got tired of his life, depressed and terrified every moment.

A day in the mathematics class. The scornful teacher had left the school and he was substituted by a young, gentleman. Rinku at a first glance thought the teacher would be a messiah of him who would uplift the deteriorated condition of his performance.

Days passed after this. All the students who had math phobia have overcome their fear except Rinku.

Rinku was unable to solve a problem. Kabir sir for the first time noticed a strange fear prevailing in Rinku's mind. He approached him.

"Sorry.....sorry sir,I....I didn't understand the concepts clearly.", said a trembling Rinku.

The whole class laughed at this. this made Rinku break himself into tears.

After the class, Rinku was summoned by Kabir.

"My child, always remember. worrying won't change your outcome", said Kabir.

"But...sir...I... I hate maths! exclaimed Rinku.

Kabir had interpreted his state of mind. He suggested that Rinku might come to him regularly after school hours to learn mathematics in an effective way. Rinku as a devoted and dedicated student followed the instructions for a month.

By now, his condition has changed much. Examinations were closer and during the last few days, he was a good,well-prepared student.

However, the other students were unaware of this fact. After the examination, the results were published in the notice board. everybody was awestruck!

Fate has turned its tables. Rinku had passed the examination with flying colours! he had scored 98%!

The ecstatic Rinku ran to his teacher, his guide and his trusted companion.

"Chase your dreams, my son. I won't be here anymore. Life is a battlefield where there are no other soldiers helping you." said Rinku's trusted teacher.

Tears toppled down Rinku's eyes. Nevertheless, he, at last, understood the importance of struggle in life.
