We The People 2.2 Hope In A Global Fallout
The Year was 2091 and the World has witnessed one of the most brutal events of War and Human history. The sky rained fire and many were forced to leave their homes and evacuate the cities to the towns. Towns became new cities while the old cities were engulfed in fire, never to be seen again. In the previous book, our characters have survived such an apocalypse and preventing April 12th 2091 from being their last day of theirs.
1 week later after the beginning of the apocalypse April 19th 2091
Back in flattened burning Milan, Everyone was at the bunker concerned about the outside world. Jamal and James were planning a route for all 30 to get to safety from radiation constantly flooding the streets, patrolling every corner for a person to strike at. "This is ridiculous, who would target major cities in every single country in the world? Every country has been hit, every major city once again has been hit. Sapporo, Tashkent, Frankfurt, Cambridge, Jerusalem, Bordeaux, Istanbul, Brastania, Del Monte, Wellington, Mumbai, Herinzburg, Sao Rico and many more have faced nuclear attacks". "I know!, What kind of demon could have done this austerity to kill millions across this globe". Let us hold that thought. As a doctor said, We cannot solve a problem until we find all the crumbs of evidence scattered". "Alright, According to my research we are a good distance away from the fireball, but the area we are at is home to 3rd-degree burns. In around 6 months, it will be safe to move from the city". "the buses could have all been destroyed, but we have the materials to do so, and 6 months is perfect timing to build the bus. Everyone started to pump steam and soon started to assemble the bus and prepare the endless heavy supplies in the bunker.
Meanwhile back in Anatolia, Michael, Abigail, Samerah, Burton and Timothy were slowly picking up their feet and started to head away from the Wrecked site as it set ablaze and continued to destroy the land around it with its revolting petroleum. "Come one, no time to waste, We need to get to Izmir ASAP. Timothy groaned in agony as Abigail was carrying him on her back. She too was not having such a great time as she felt the weight of tall Timothy. "Good grief, have you been gaining weight from all those cream buns at the airport?". "Maybe I had just a few". "By few, you mean 5 buns". There was an awkward silence, but soon the group realised they weren't going to make it to Izmir. With the few supplies they had and enough difficulty, the horrendous plane crash brought to them, they continued. They marched through the thick grasslands covering the hills like carpets. They still saw the remains of the mushroom cloud, still stretching high into the air, taller than Everest. As they were in rigour to get to Izmir, They encountered a man in the distance. He was middle age and like them, it looked like he came from a disaster. At first, The puzzled group thought he was a survivor from another plane crash, but they were wrong. As soon as they called him at their loudest voices, The man in the distance heard and glared at them. His eyes were like the eyes of an eagle stalking its prey. His glare was like a raging fire. Seconds later, he reached into his pocket in his long tailcoat and grabbed a shotgun and started firing like a mad man at them. The group was startled, but with panic rushing through their blood, they quickly rushed to find a suitable hiding spot away from the terror in the distance, hiding behind some tall rocks along the plains. They dared not to move. As the murderous man came closer towards the rocks. Abigail, still carrying the first aid kit, desperately looked through for something useful, as there was no area of camouflage insight. The man drew closer like a lion sniffing his prey. At the point where they all looked like goners with heaven coming close to their sight, Abigail found a scalpel in the medkit, stood up gently and stabbed the man in the neck. Blood squirted out uncontrollably and soon experienced the last seconds of his life with death. Burton muttered in his breath "rot in hell with the Rakshasa". As soon as the fighting was over, everyone's minds were flooded with questions. "Who was this man?". Michael grabbed the gun and scavenged the corpse for anything useful waiting to be used in their now dangerous path to safety. As Michael was scouring, he saw a pocketbook in his blue coat. He picked it up as if it was a rock. The book weighed like a chicken. As he caught a glimpse of the book, he noticed a huge symbol on the cover. A large "A" painted in bright red paint and with the globe behind it. Michael suddenly had a tingly feeling. He had seen this before, but where? There was something at the back of his head he was trying to fish out. "Anything important there honey," said Samerah. "Nope" he replied in a nervous accent. "I am so worried about the boys. I hope they are alright". "They are smart kids, I am sure they have found a way". They were on the way when they captured a distress call echoing in their radio. " This is Dr. Miguel Kyzunski, can anyone hear me? I am with a group of 5 people in the city of Bursa near the fallout zone in Istanbul. Ever since the bombs dropped, Militias have occupied the city and have massacred the people on the streets with their brutal Cortez conquest. We are hiding in a shopping mall in the centre of the city. The devils are swarming the area around the mall and enslave anyone that comes across them. We are nearly out of supplies If anyone can hear us please respond". The 6 turned pale as if they have seen a ghost. "We should turn back, Who wants to get hurt" worried Samerah. "I agree, Bursa is suicide" replied Burton. "No," said Michael. "What do you mean no?" said Burton confused. "It is going to be a blood bath there". "We can't leave them there to suffer. Yes, it is incredibly dangerous, but think of the people there suffering. War has always been caused when we leave people behind or don't care about them. When we are Negligent. We do not have good relations and compassion towards each other. When we care about someone or leave something or someone behind, it's a bubbling point of war and lets evil rise. When I was young, I saw people in desperate help being bullied and hurt by those tyrants back in India 40 years ago. From this, I learnt this lesson."Never forget the evil and hate that starts a war, not the peace and compassion that ends it". At this point, everyone was speechless but started to show nods and agree with Michael. "Ok, we will help you," said Samerah. "But we have an injured person on board" interrupted Abigail. still carrying Timothy on her back. "At least let us find a village or a small town or maybe an airport before we head for the blood bath". "yeah let's find an Oasis before we head there".
Meanwhile, in the Jerusalem Metro system, Anil and his family along with a dozen other survivors were still hiding from the superbomb as its touch was still sucking out the life throughout the land of central Israel. Everyone panicked in the bunker deep down with no access to the rest of the world. lives destroyed by a single bomb and millions vaporising into thin air as the bombs fiery winds blast through people, tearing them apart into microscopic bits and the environment tampered with once again in a pristine land. The calmness and peace that the world enjoyed had become a distant memory. Mirzahi was hugging the children ( Ishita and Gerome) tightly as there was a flood of tears rushing through their eyes like the waterfalls of Niagra falls. Everyone was hopeless as there was no escape to the outside world. The bunker smelled worse than the rotten sewers under the city. The air was foul and full of dust and sand from the expanding desert and there wasn't a peep of sunlight that made its way into the gloomy bunker. "I guess this is how we end" muttered Anil, We are born into misery and end in misery. To make matters worse, the cooling system of the bunker was malfunctioning and can't be able to shield them from the devilish scorching heat of the Middle East with a hint of the descent of atom. Now it's up to the 60 people including Anil and his family to keep themselves alive in a frightening atmosphere. There wasn't any light in the room. "everyone please settle down" came a voice. It was one of the guards from the gate. Everyone please calm down and head to your designated cabins. The mechanics are trying to fix the cooling system and We will be at our computer room to find any contacts with other countries or rescue leaders. Anil and his family hustled to their cabin, just like the other 56 people in the bunker. The cabin was smaller than a classroom. 2 beds, a kitchen the size of a closet, a single bathroom and one computer. The family was claustrophobic inside but knew they had to deal with the resources they were given. Needless to say, the other 56 people felt the same way. As soon as they started to unpack the few bags they saved from their near death, A large announcement was made. "Can all adults proceed to the main common room for an important meeting. Youngsters must stay indoors at all times". Ishita and Gerome were nervous with Gerome trying to calm his little sister. Gerome was 14 years old while Ishita was 11 years old. "Dad". "Yes, son?". "Are we going to be okay?". There was a long pause but the only thing both of them saw were worries in their parent's eyes and faces. "We will be alright kids", please stay inside". Anil and Mirzahi exited the room as Israeli soldiers were patrolling the halls, leading everyone to the common room. Gerome closed the door. "Gerome, look at this computer". "Don't touch that, we don't know what it does". "How about we both see," says Ishita. Gerome and Ishita sat down and looked through the computer. The computer was a very old system, A Quantum 5000 computer. " Who uses this rubbish?, This was used 20 years ago," muttered Gerome. "Don't judge a computer on the outside, its what is on the inside that counts?" said Ishita. They turned it on and the computer typed in, "Welcome to Quantum industries' Quantum 5000". The computer soon displayed empty profiles with all saying new. In the corners of the screen, the size of a piece of paper were news articles and announcements. "Maybe this system isn't that hopeless" Gerome muttered to himself. The two soon were searching through the computer like it was an endless maze until a fire flamed inside their heads. "Gerome", "yes Ishita?", "remember reading Anne Franks diary in school, She wrote a diary during world war 2 and the Holocaust in the 1940s, over 150 years ago". "yeah, why?". "What if we create a journal or diary in this computer in one of the empty profiles and write our experiences down. We can later publish this". "I like your thinking Ishita, yes we will do it". "Great, let's get started".
Meanwhile in the Stalham high school, Ramesh, Rocco, Wilson, Liam, Scott, Margaret and Amara were slowly peering out of the high school after being there for a whole afternoon. The glass was shattered into shards as it spread out through the large avenue and shined like silver from the sunset. Everyone had a massive heart attack from the Superbomb. Precious land and hard work that took years to build and create were destroyed in a second. "My parents were in Glasgow the time the bomb dropped" sobbed William. "Our lives have just fallen into the abyss". sobbed Margaret. "Right now is incredibly sad. As more people started to come out of the houses and shops of the suburban city, The winds continued to howl from the aftermath of the super bomb. From a high school far away from the city, they can still see the giant mushroom cloud covering the city of Cambridge. From the crowd came sighs of relief, Sobs and cries of despair, as well as confusion, heart attacks and shouts of anger for revenge. "Who on earth could have done this?". As soon as the commotion settled, Amara took out the radio they had packed and turned it on. "Come on, there had to be signal somewhere". As everyone was praying and recovering, Amara finally got a signal, a message from the BNDF (British national defence forces. " To anyone who has survived the catastrophe that plagued our country just hours ago, Please proceed to the nearest port in your area. The ministry of Civil security had recommended a full evacuation of survivors in the country. Take items essential to you and be quick. And with cooperation from the Southern European Confederacy and the Emergency World Council, permanent resettlement at The Island of Crete. The radio echoed loudly into everyone's ears and soon, hundreds of eyeballs were shooting lasers at the 7 college kids like they were the north pole. "Everyone" yelled a random stranger, "Head to the coast, Walcott is the closest port here". "How do we get there". yelled a stranger in the audience". This is when Rocco comes in, "Everyone, there is a bus terminal here in Stalham, We can use these buses to get to the port, but we need to stick together as a convoy so no one gets lost, are there any drivers here?". Everyone slowly started to gain confidence from a time of loss. 2 peoples hands rose from the crowd (Rocco and Ramesh) in the central square of Stalham. "How many people are here in the crowd?" A total of 70 people, including themselves and the drivers were there as everyone's hands rose high into the sky. "That is just right enough," Everyone thought. Soon everyone was resuming back to packing their goods as quickly as possible and rushing like a marathon to the buses. The busses although big, were terrible inside, with sludge on the ceiling and water and garbage spilt and scattered all over the floor like an aftermath of a cinema. Everyone felt sickened by the state of the buses, "When was the last time they cleaned these buses" A man muttered angrily. But there was no time. Time was ticking and everyone was thinking one thing. "Never mind". Everyone knew they had to deal with it and boarded the two busses. Rocco sat in the driver's seat of Bus number 2 while Ramesh was seated in bus number 1. Everyone began to pack their seats. Margaret, Wilson and Scott were in Bus 1 and Amara and Liam were in Bus 2 settling down, quickly packing the bags in the little rooms above they had and helping others to settle down. Ramesh and Rocco both gave the announcement through the microphone. "May I have your attention, This will be a drive to the coastline, please stay in your seats at all times. If you have an emergency or spot anything suspicious outside or inside the bus, please inform us. The BNDF has also recommended that we all stick with each other and no one is left behind. Please also keep an eye for the other bus and most importantly do not panic. Let's go now". Both brothers started the engines of the buses. The Engines belched its frumious smoke, but soon, they were able to move out of Stalham and pass the checkpoint. The soldiers left from the checkpoint got into both of the already overcrowded busses and soon they were off into the distance and never looked back till they reached Port Walcott, However not noticing a tall black figure in the hills near the suburban city, watching them the whole time and watched them as they drove off to Port Walcott. The man watched with eyes like an eagle as they drove off, have an overwhelming grin like a Guy Fawkes mask and soon disappeared into the abandoned countryside.
Meanwhile back in India, Everyone was stunned and frightened by an unpredictable event, that not only changed or destroyed lives of many but created a wildfire that spread across the hearts and minds of many lives across the country with a large cup of fear into the recipe. Back on the bus, at one of Pune's many checkpoints, Matt, Johanna and their kids Mohit and Laura, as well as their former teacher Mr Mahinder and several other teachers, parents, students, classmates, staff and even random strangers were slowly coming out of the bus as the winds of the giant mushroom cloud calmed down. What followed were storms of confusion, panic, sobbing and murmurs from the crowds around the checkpoint. The quiet and the peace were broken and became a distant achievement. The bus soon entered the recently installed city walls of Pune guided by soldiers to another checkpoint. Mr. Mahinder soon came to the bus window. "Sir, I have 40 people on this school bus, We just passed checkpoint 1, here is our pass. The customs agent scanned the pass, analysing each detail of it. To everyone on the bus, it felt like a lifetime, but soon the Customs agent opened the gates to the city and the bus quickly drove into the city. By this time, everyone's hearts were beating quicker than an athlete that finished a long exhausting marathon. As the bus drove to the main avenue, everyone sighed in relief and in sobbing as they slowly exited the already uncomfortable bus ride. "I never expected my life to experience a tumble," said Matt. "If we could relive yesterday, we would enjoy every minute". sobbed Johanna. Laura and Mohit worried as well went to Mr. Mahinder. "Sir, Are we going to be ok?". Mr. Mahinder paused for a second with his eyes widening and watering like a rain cloud but soon regained his strength. "Yes, we all will, don't worry". As soon as the bus stopped, everyone rushed out in command to the nearest shelter by the robot soldiers of the Continental Army of India and having fear like the many refugees across the world at this moment confused and running for their lives from a dark hand.
Meanwhile, on the ferry to Lakshadweep, Sharon, Ayush, Danielle, Hiroji and Tariq were speechless like the other passengers on the ferry as they watched the city of lives and opportunity turn into ashes under the giant mushroom cloud. Its winds howled like spirits gasping in shock and caused to waves to jolt up and roughen, making the helpless ferry like a buoy on the water. But everyone stood their ground and managed to keep their feet on the deck. Sharon at this point was feeling nauseous on a bumpy trip, She no longer can take it anymore. She rushed to the deck pushing others away and threw up. Her crew were both disgusted by the event that they as well started to feel sick, pushing Sharon out of the way and hurled away from the bombs of disgust into the ocean. "for the first few minutes As always we know, lots of relief and confusion in the air. "Who would do this to an entire city?". Everyone murmured in the air as they still faced the large mushroom cloud in the distance. In just minutes, the captain of the ferry gave his lazy announcement as nothing happened. "May I have your attention, we will be arriving at Lakshadweep in 2 hours, we will not be able to stop over at Goa as we have lost signal to Goa and many ports in India and South East Asia are in lockdown. We have been given special privilege to set dock at Maarbathai Hydro port, we are lucky people to escape such a tragedy". Sharon was puzzled, her heartbeat like an athlete running in the spotlight, she was pale as the white sand on the beach and was sweating constantly like someone who was scared from death and evil. As a reporter in the once villainous now pacified INT, sitting in a tall skyscraper reporting the daily news to billions of people, She never experienced such an atrocity in real life for a long time. Ever since witnessing tragedies of people attacked in the streets of Autocrat India 32 years ago or being a reporter live in the Kievan and Turkmen civil wars on the frontline in the 2060s and 2070s, witnessing such brutality, she felt a near-death memory as she now saw the terror at the top of the hierarchy. Hiroji and Danielle tried to calm her down, "Let it go, Sharon, we will all be fine from the hierarchy of WOMDs". Hiroji interrupted, "guys, according to my iPhone Mango, Every country, including neutral countries have experienced a nuclear attack in a major city of four". "That's indeed strange, every country in the world has nuclear weapons, but no one would trigger or attack everyone else". As Sharon was listening to the conversation, she realised she has heard and said this before, There was something at the back of her brain trying to itch its way out to the front. She remembered in full detail all broadcasts she recorded with her Quantum phone. She never got the chance to collect her phone from the tower, by now it must have been in ruins under the building. She moved towards Tariq and sat next to him in the bleachers. "Sharon? are you alright? you are bit pale". Sharon didn't answer, she slowly lost her hearing and then fainted to the ground.
Back in the Milan complex bunker, James, Jamal, Soveso, Sergei and Lucia have packed the last of the supplies and everyone prepared the bus, assembling its final parts. It seemed like everything would go smooth. James was checking the paperwork in the bunker office, right opposite the garage of the bunker when in the corner of his eye, he noticed in the camera outside the bunker, Two men in white hazmat suits with a giant red A on the torso of the suit were outside the gates and meddling around with the entry system. James knew they were no good, but had no way to prove it. He is just a minute like sonic, he locked down the main gates and entries to the bunker, collected all information in their computers to his USB. The watched as the men tried to open the gate, but was no use, they soon were arguing with each other in such rough voices. This made James very suspicious, "who are these men?". He turned on the microphone on the security camera and heard the eeriest and most frightening. "Brother, it's worthless, the door is locked and guarded, we will never be able to break in. Just look around the place, everything is dead thanks to that atom bomb we launched". At this point, Sergei entered the office and along with James also heard and witnessed this conversation. "Come on, not all hope is lost, the boss said this area is where the famous scientists James and Jamal and their crew are. They can be useful for our organisation and our conquest for domination. We didn't come all the way here to this fallout zone to give up, you know our oath". "Freedom through revolution, revolution through terror". James and Sergei now knew them, he realised this statement was mentioned before in a news program, something was itching behind their brains but they can't make their way through with a maze of thought and intelligence. The two men proceeded to the opening module (an outdoor computer to open the bunker from the outside. A computer that James earlier had also shutdown and disconnected). one of the men from his pocket in his long shining hazmat suit took out a Quantum mini (an incredibly small computer, like a mini Zipit computer in the 2010s, which was 80 years ago). He plugged the computer into the opening module and minutes later, nothing. This time he was angry. "I will go inform the others about the situation," said Sergei as he rushed outside the office. James decided to have some fun. "he opened the microphone and then spoke out. "Hold up, this is the Milan scientific community bunker complex, who is this outside the gate". The two men were startled for a second but then smiled at each other. We are a rescue team, we have come to evacuate you all". James rolled his eyes like a teenager. "how stupid are these fakers?" he chuckled to himself. "That is a very small team for evacuation, isn't there supposed to be like a group of 12 people in disguise?". The two men didn't know what to say and still unaware replied: "We were low on supplies and men, will you please let us in". James checks other outside cameras and sees that they have a jeep at the road. They were the only ones. James decided to play a brutal trick on them. There were two gates. One was the main gate that connects the outside world with a decontamination room and the other was the decontamination room to the main lobby of the bunker. He will open the main gate but seal the second gate. And that is exactly what he did. As soon as James opened the security system, he locked the second gate to the bunker. He closed the first gate and soon the two men came out of their hazmat suits. They were uniformed. the first person was a tall brown-haired man and the other was bald and had a black beard longer than an average carpet. They soon took out their Uzumi pistols (guns from Hokkaido) James thought to himself, "could the kingdom of Hokkaido be behind this?, no that's not possible, Hokkaido was attacked as well. The men shouted to the mic, "open this blockhead door!". Instead of opening the door to the bunker after the decontamination. James once again opened the front door, letting swarms of radiation fooming in. The men screamed at the top of their lungs cursing the cameras as their skin burned red, their clothes caught on flames from the intense fiery heat of the radiation, and their entire bodies charred. Soon there was silence. All that was left in the room were 2 hazmat suits, 2 piles of charred bones and burned clothes scattered throughout the floor of the decontamination room. James immediately closed the main gate and decontaminated the room. "That was close, who knew what bad these people would do to all of us. But it did give him some clues to who had done it. Was it the Kingdom of Hokkaido by their weapons? Was it the Republic of Britain for their accents? or was it the North German federation for its vehicles and tactics? There were so many questions and possible suspects. But from observing this, he knew the harmful effects of the radiation outside but also knew that everyone had to leave immediately before someone else comes. He managed to preserve radiation suits for everyone. By this time everyone including Jamal was worried about the situation after James explained the situation to them, everyone soon calmed down and had a quick laugh about it. The Bus was ready to go. Sergei recommended that everyone to carry a small pistol or gun with them to defend against anything that was going after the bus (Sergei is a pro around weapons ever since coming from the West Russian Republic). Everyone quickly suited up into the long hazmat suits of yellow and boarded the bus. The bus was sleek and new from the 1 week of hard work, everyone contributed towards it. Everyone in their uniformed hazmat suits loaded into the bus. The supplies were packed on the shelves as long as snakes. The bus was fortified outside with layers of prickly barbed wiring and spines like tiny needles. sticking out of the Bus frame. Everyone was seated and soon, Lucia went to the front of the bus like a jaguar and gave her speech. "Ladies and Gentlemen, we will be heading to the Alps mountains. In any circumstance, please note to not take off your hazmat suit until necessary, if there is anything suspicious outside the bus, ask us and make sure to defend the bus in case of attack". Everyone complied and soon James opened the gates. "Alright, everyone is here, moving out". The buses soon moved out of the bunker and into the hollow streets. The streets were forsaken and icy dead. grey dust and fog scattered throughout the entire city. The complex that both Jamal and James worked very hard to build, was flattened by the superbombs majestic winds of fire. The great skyscrapers once centres of connection and investment became piles of debris. Shadows of the vaporised stood against the walls of destroyed buildings, skeletons scattered in the central plaza laying helplessly, in the distance, large advertisements of highland sandwiches and Retro Fashion deteriorating apart. Everyone was mortified as each turn was an image of death and the success of mankind's madness. a moment later Lucia took out her Geiger counter. The counter violently beeped with an insane noise whirring. Lucia was silent, then mortified of the result, twice that of the Priypat incident in 1986 around 105 years ago, the area was patrolled with murderous rad. " Though James and Jamal both wanted to know who were these people and why they were important to them, they were blinded by the images of death and destruction that covered the once-prosperous city of Milan.
Back in the Anatolian countrysides after several hours at the brink of night, Michael and the gang soon approached a city. But this city was different, there were roads and houses damaged and ablaze, the entrance to the city had tons of smoke more smoke than rockets release when heading to the moon. "Honey? what has happened to this?". "I don't know dear, let's find out". As they proceeded the charred, burnt sign said, "welcome to Luleburg bay". At this point Abigail was used to carrying Timothy around but looking up, she gasped and dropped Timothy and a bag with a heavy box, slamming on her foot. Both of them yelped in pain. They pleaded to just stay in the city. But Michael, Samerah and Burton just gave them one glare with one message, deal with it. Both of them picked themselves up and hurried away along with the rest to the city, as they entered, all they saw was death. The death that was caused by man's brutality during a pointless war. Shops looked like they were raided by thieves, bodies scattered across the main boulevard. A quantum book computer dropped down on the street with its elegant plasma screen broken, and pools of blood and gore spilt throughout the scene. "This was a massacre" murmured Michael to Burton. "I know right? how could this happen in 1 week". Samerah soon picked up the helpless laptop in the hands of a deceased body and tried to open it. It took a while but soon it opened and logged on. As always it said, "welcome to Quantum industries, network installed: Calwot International Academy, the person signed in, Luis Jaime Hodgkinson". Samerah looked at the body of the boy but with the call of her husband's voice, she knew she had to hurry. Soon they approached the old city of the city but were immediately halted at gunpoint. Everyone backed behind with fear as the guards approached and gave the reply. "This is Luleburg police, who are you all and what is your purpose". "We are travellers, we are just trying to get to Izmir, we need a safe place". "How do we know you all aren't some filthy terrorists who attacked us". "We came from those mountains from a plane crash Interworld 4327 to Istanbul". "Show us your ID to prove you are telling the truth". Burton pulled out his iPhone mango and showed it to the scanner. The guards soon talked to each other for a while but soon replied. "Ok, you may enter, but we will question all of you the next morning. That evening, the gates of the old city opened and the 5 entered, escaping the tyranny outside the walls. When entering the city was crowded with people heading to the bay by the thousands, escaping in panic and continuously trying to hustle into the ferries to Izmir. Samerah knew she and the others, had to get to safety. While Abigail took Timothy to the medic after carrying his layers of pig fat finally getting his many wounds stitched back, While Abigail went to register and fill details in the Quantum 100 (or a business computer) at the reception of the clinic with lines and lines of people with wounds, bites, diseases and masks on hoping to at least get some treatment. "Who are all these people," said Abigail. The receptionist ignored her and continued to do her work while Abigail sighed in shame and continued to fill the details. "Quantum 100 computers haven't been used since the 2000s when laptops were made" she murmured to herself. Samerah and Burton soon were at the main library at the heart of the old city. "Hey Burton", "Yeah?", "I found this computer in the hands of a young boy, it's locked, can you open it?". "sure, let me see". Burton like any other computer nerd opened the codes and pressed various letters and rubbish that didn't make sense as many people saw. But Burton didn't mind. After an hour into the night right before closing, the computer unlocked and soon they were browsing through the content. Homework, personal journal, friends and photos and many more. but were quickly halted as security told them to leave. That night, All 5 didn't think much and were very concerned about what would happen tomorrow, but the night fog and the sea breeze forced their eyes to shut and fall asleep. The next morning April 20 2091. The group woke up with the thrashing of the door and police entering. Everyone jumped out of their skins in fear as the city police entered with armed guns. Then an inspector in long brown walked in holding a checklist and a pen. "My name is Mr. Monty, I am here for your questioning, apologies for the disturbance, please take a seat". "May I please note your names?". "My name Michael, this is my wife Samerah, my two siblings Abigail and Burton and my colleague Timothy". "May I have your nationalities and your ages?". "Michael, Indian, 47". "Abigail, Indian, 45". "Burton, Indian, 43". "Samerah, British, 43". "Timothy, Californian, 48". "Alright then, tell us what happened before you arrived in Luleburg". "We were on a flight Interjet 4327 from Cambridge to Istanbul for a business trip, the day the bomb dropped. We run a law firm in Europe We crashed and were all unconscious for 1 week. Originally there were 9 of us. The 2 pilots and 2 others in the group are deceased. We were confused like prisoners in a torture cell afraid and confused about what just happened. We were notified that there was an evacuation of the Country and civilians in Izmir by a recent announcement by the Anatolian government. We were attacked by a man that seemed to be also a lost passenger. But thankfully Abigail took him down with a scalpel". "A terrorist huh?". "Yes, possibly but we weren't sure". Samerah then realised she still had the book the Terrorist had in his cloak. "Inspector, the terrorist also had this in his possession. I found it while searching for anything useful but an empty gun". Inspector Monty snatched the book from Samerah's hands and strictly lectured at her like a typical policeman. "Although we appreciate you getting this piece of evidence, next time don't touch an aggressor's belongings such as weapons or this book. You might get yourself into trouble". Samerah looked down sheepishly in shame as Inspector Monty continued to lecture at her. "Sir, we also received a distress call from Bursa from a group of survivors". The inspector's eyes widened in shock and quickly like a tornado turned to face Timothy and the rest. "impossible, we lost contact to the city for a week. And ever since the military coming in and the Terrorist raid on this city we have never received it. Plus, the city would have been no man's land by now as its very close to the exclusion zone of Istanbul, it would be fuming with radiation and many would have already fled like lizards away from danger". "No, we received a distress call yesterday". Michael reached into his bag to grab his laptop and then played the distress call received." This is Dr. "The inspector looked at Michael with a stern look, and then back down at the distress call. As the clocks and cogs in his head chimed and rolled together, Everyone was sweating like fountains waiting for the results of the inspector Monty. Inspector Monty then looked up, I will proceed to have a strike team for Bursa, but I will need a volunteer. There was silence. Everyone was looking at each other. With frustration, Michael stood up and said, I will go. Everyone in the room glared with horror towards him, but no one glared with horror harder than Samerah. "No!, don't go!". "I'm sorry, I have to, for our kids and our world". "please brother, don't go". "no, I made my choice, I am rescuing them from the hand of evil". As Michael was escorted from the room of the hotel, everyone started sobbing, sobbing with both sorrow, tears and having knives stabbed into not their hearts but their souls as they saw someone they all loved leave them.
"April 19th 2091 Ever since coming into the bunker, Life from the heat of summer became cold as winter in our hearts. Winter has become even colder for our hearts. Even though these may be our last days here on earth, it doesn't mean we have to stop living, maybe we can start a new chapter? Anyway, we were in the cafeteria. The food was atrocious, at least make decent shawarma. Well, at least we made a few friends like Justin. That night as always, Our dad came back to the room and said something strange, then mom cried and both of them started arguing. Grownups can be weird, but we still love them, sometimes we fear that something big may unfold in the future. But I still have hope even in this turbulent time. From Ishita and Gerome". Ishita and Gerome most of the time had to be in the room, though they went to school and were eager to go, they also wanted a breath of fresh air for once after being trapped for a week, either they get some fresh air and get burnt to a crisp from the scorching duet or heat and radiation, every time their father (Anil) comes back to the room, he always has a frown on his face and his struggles are seen through the eye trying to keep a smile on his face. Though Ishita and Gerome were glad to go to school again, Anil, however, was droopy and suffocating in the atmosphere of this new life, he always thought with guilt "I should have gone and helped my family". To make matters worse he would always witness different brawls and fights to go on as many people looking like each other as rivals or enemies just like pre-1914 Europe. He always had one worry that neither he nor his wife or kids were going to be victims of this bloody conflict and not get into trouble is his intention always. One day he was called to the main office. He started shaking like a huge earthquake, sweat rushing down his body like a fountain and the most cringiest face that anyone could imagine. Gerome and Ishita saw there parents trying to work and get out of the mess they are in that wasn't their fault. Gerome wondered if this is what his life will be like and for everyone else on earth, endless suffering every day, and wondered what would happen to Ishita and what she would think. "father, are we going to perish here" said Ishita sobbing, Anil looked at her and also cried his heart out hugging her with all his strength, Mirzahi and Gerome also opened up and hugged, together they were like a pile of both love and sorrow as chaos continued to realm in this bunker in the Jerusalem metro.
Miles away back in the English countryside, the 2 buses have finally come to the port after a long journey with people in constant fear hoping to reach the island of Crete in no time. As the buses stopped, everyone rushed out like a panicking crowd of wild animals in the safari running from a hunter and a dark hand. Everyone screaming continuously trying to get out and get to the nearest ship. While Ramesh, Willson, Margaret and Scott were the lights and guided everyone to safety and everyone in Bus number 1, the others weren't so lucky. Just as Bus number 2 stopped, it exploded, a bomb exploded in the port zone and everyone immediately started running for their lives in panic and rushing into the ship. For Ramesh he realised he had just lost his brother Rocco to the devil's hand, as he sobbed, Margaret and Scott dragged him into the boat saying "come on, let's get out of here". Ramesh now was petrified and now wanting to die. William however from everything he saw today, he now didn't want to live in a cruel world, he went to the edge of the port, drew his weapon and ended his life, there was silence. As the ship crew and the many people on the ship heard gunshots and tanks in the distance, they pressured the captain of the ship to depart instantly and never look behind. When it seemed like the end of the line, they soon departed. The conflict and the horrifying event for them were over. As they looked back into the port and saw the many bodies and fire spreading like a plague and the men with the guns raising the flag with the letter A on it and tearing the British flag into shreds, Everyone knew that there will be chaos and god and nature have turned against humanity and closed their doors on them. Ramesh like William also wanted to give up on life after escaping a warzone, but his 2 left friends Scott and Margaret calmed him down and guided him to the sitting room to rest. As soon as he sat down he instantly fainted and wanted to escape from a complicated and hellish world. But will soon wake up once again in a drastically changed world.
Back in India, people were still rushing to the shelters from the vast atomic bombs being detonated in the west coast of India in Mumbai, Jaipur and Chandigarh. The Darkness was spreading across the country like a plague across a population. Matt and Johanna, Mohit and Laura were all in their hotel room in the emergency reservation area in Pune while Johanna and Mohit were with Mr. Mahinder and the other students in the grand library in Pune. Johanna opened the hologram computer and started looking through the news, but nothing was there. Major media news outlets haven't been coming since the bombs dropped and there was still chaos around over who committed this atrocity. Mohit, however, was looking at archives to calm himself down when he suddenly stumbled upon a series of Archives 1/2 a century old. he blew the frivolous dust and shooed away the spider living in the box and brought it back to the lobby. "Hey, laura check this out". Laura turned her head from the computer and looked at the large box of archives like looking at a treasure chest. Like many other characters in this story and series so far, they loved history and law and pursued to become lawyers. "Mr. Mahinder what is this?". Mr. Mahinder looked at the box with one glance and was shooked. "I thought I would never see this in years". "what are they". "you are witnessing the propaganda posters and news archives from India's darkest times between 2035 to 2061 under the rule of Bahardurshai Rao. These pamphlets and propaganda embodied the soul and national identity of Indian society back then. An example of this is right here, a propaganda poster during the 2040s second Sino-Indian war where India invaded Tibet from a weakened China during world war 3 as a revenge to the war of 1962". Right here you can see people from all over India representing its diversity and it's shared national unity fighting against the Chinese red dragon over the Himalayas. "This says we are the people of the nation, support the war against Maoism and help free the persecuted Tibetans". "That must have been very popular". Mr. Mahinder frowned for a second but then let go of the belief. "though this helped Indian victory over China and helped our conquest over Tibet, sometimes these pamphlets can spread hate and division across our country. Millions have been deported or even died under this regime and the principles of peace and democracy have been extinguished from the country also, in 2061 this bloody and violent regime that already damaged, tortured, spread the message of hate and drained the soul of the country had been overthrown and 2086, Bahardurshai Rao was captured in Khatmandu and executed. You both were very young back then". The smiles of their faces turned into frowns as they knew the dark times of Indian history. Mohit then picked up a painting with Bahadurshai's face over Indra Gandhi's face. "Hey what's this". Mr Mahinder was once again shocked, "I don't believe it, this is the painting "No more" It was made in 2050 as a protest symbol over Bahadurshai Rao's tyranny and oppression over the 2 billion people of the country and also was a feature and symbolism of how he was just like the shameful Indra Gandhi who had also oppressed the people of India, shamed this country and had also tried to take away our freedom. it was destroyed a year later and the artist was executed publicly". Mohit and Laura were shocked by the past they never learned, to them they thought their country was the best in the world, but now they realised it wasn't the best country in the world. Laura picked up a comic of what appeared to be a superhero carrying a fat English man. "What is this", Mr. Mahinder lightened up. "This right here is Rajesh the superhero holding an English man and represented how we got out of colonist behaviours and being independent. Though it showed the pride in the Indian people as we don't favour the British much for their oppression, it surely was a racist version and also a symbol of propaganda for the Indian government under Rao to gain power over everyone. Then both Laura and Mohit pulled out a huge photo from giggling at the comic and turned back to their serious mode. "What is this. Mr. Mahinder was petrified and then looked down starting to sob, "Sir, is everything alright, is something wrong". "This is the darkest of them all, worse than Tiananmen square in 1989 in Beijing. This happened in New Dehli in 2039 at India gate. I was there and it was a massacre. Mohit and Laura's eyes widened as they knew it wasn't a happy story. Even the nightmarish look of the picture couldn't be innocent and said that something big would happen. "Ok, right now I am 75 years old. That event I was talking about happened 52 years ago, I was 23 years old back then. I was there in New Dehli that day still in university where it happened. Like many that time, I was unhappy with the brutal policies of Bahadurshai Rao's rule after 4 years and like many were protesting at the India gate in New Dehli. We were protesting against his rule, but something told me something bad would happen. I decided to leave and go to the hotel overviewing the entire area and at the distance, I saw what appeared to be a fleet of tanks and soldiers armed. I immediately knew this would be a repetition of Tiananmen square in China back in the 1980s. Then I saw it. Troops firing at civilians and protestors around the gate like savages and tanks rolling over everything on the way and no one was in sight to defend the protestors. August/27/2039 was a nightmare for all and a massacre on thousands and never spoken again. It had been erased and hidden from for a whole generation and forced everyone like me to keep silent from the world to tell this horrific experience. I saw everything and it is relieving to be telling this to someone". Mr. Mahinder started sobbing once again and Mohit and Laura tried to calm him down. Their parents soon entered looking very worried. Sir, Kids you need to come outside now.
Back at the ship, everyone breathed a sigh of relief as the ship soon docked at the main harbour of Lakshadweep, India in the large city of Kotampuram. Sharon woke up just in time to broadcast the news from the INT hub there. Ayush, Danielle, Hiroji and Tariq followed her to the INT hub worrying if she had acted crazy. As soon as they headed to the INT hub, they realised the entire place was under lockdown and realised the main media tower has been hijacked. Sharon quickly turned on the television to see the propaganda and the hijacked message. 5 men in masks were in the main screening room and giving the message that would change the world forever. As she turned on other televisions and news programs the same few people on masks were there giving the same message in different languages. The UKTV in the United Kingdom to the Imperial television in the Kingdom of Hokkaido to the east to the far west in The California bugle. This was the moment they would see the truth and be scarred for life.
That day April 20th 2091 was the day the whole world would know the truth and who the antagonist was and where the world would enter another negative chapter in their lives. Billboards and Televisions across the world in Pune, the UWTV tower in Lakshadweep, The subway shelter in Jerusalem, the ship heading from the British coastline in Stalham to Crete, Luleburg in Anatolia and the bus with James and Jamal and the scientific crew that had just reached the lab in the Swiss Alps. The message went like this by the people under the letter A. "We are the Global Anarchist Army and we are here to liberate you from your life of suffering. have you felt that your government is incompetent and useless? have you all felt oppressed in your lives and want a better life for yourself, you will all be better under our control. from a world nearly a century ago where you were free and can do things as you saw fit, you now are limited and are controlled by the devil in the grand chair in the capitals of your countries. your governments haven't addressed the basic issues or have helped fend of H3N5 that caused 400 million deaths across the world. but we have created the vaccine. the territory we occupy from the North of the Subcontinent to the Siberian islands to the densely populated areas of central Europe to the Grand plains of the Americas to the Korean wastelands, all the way to the World Leauge capital of Baku along the Caspian now fallen to us. We have created the vaccine. people applaud us for freedom, liberty to do anything and have food, water and electricity in their reach and better housing. Why can't your government do things such as this? Is this what a country is, is this what the world has become? join us we are the Anarchists, let no government or law restricts us, let there be no government from the Korean wastelands to the coast of California. Let there be freedom, let there be unity and let there be a world and a moment that shall never be forgotten". The screen blackened and the letter A in red was there. Tariq from that moment grabbed a gun and stormed into the screen area to see everyone tied up. "What's going on, what happened?". Sharon entered the room also confused and realised that this was a message to surrender. "I know what we have to do, the leader of India just called in and he just said the country and everyone else surrenders, it was true the leader had just called and the WL and India and every other country have surrendered. Sharon, already disturbed went to the front desk. Already the whole world. Every character mentioned in this book has seen the Anarchist demand of surrender. the boards and televisions everywhere across the world switched on once again to UWTV (United World Television) Sharon then proceeded. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen and everyone across the world right now, this is both an emergency and a final broadcast to you all. We have just received an update that the World League has surrendered to the Anarchist and governments across the world have decided to surrender and join. Though this is the beginning of a new chapter in our world of Anarchy, we must never give hope on the fate of human destiny and our kind to such darkness, we humans can still prevail even when we all leave the lives we had behind and focus on the future. from this concludes the final broadcast of every world news network including INT and the UWTV here. I'm sorry, may the world be with all of us for the years to come, namaste". The world knew. Michael, Samerah, Burton, Abigail, Timothy, The Inspector, Ramesh, Margaret, Scott, Anil, Mirzahi, Gerome, Ishita, Lucia, Sergei, Soveso, James, Jamal, Mr Mahinder, Mohit, Laura, Matt, Johanna and all the background characters in this story knew that the world will never be same and there is no turning back to the current path that this world was heading to. The world surrendered and now was the Anarchic age of the world. Can humanity prevail in such a world again, or will it perish in the future, what will the fate of humanity? As the sunset and the International anthem played across the world, this was a question of life that would stick with everyone in the world for the years to come. A world under Anarchy already seemed scary and now they were being part of a new chapter that can be even more harmful than good.
To be continued.
