"Ring Ring"

Agatha picked up her alarm and chucked it at her wall. She quickly realized that it was an alarm clock and a beloved birthday gift. She woke up in a haze in such force, that she started to feel like that time she partied very hard for her birthday, and ended up on the roof of a hospital. She grabbed hold of her cloth hanger, and took a deep breath in and out, and scooped up her broken alarm with a broom.

She went down to the kitchen and fixed herself a cup of coffee and toast. and plopped right on her couch. Agatha whipped out her phone and started to scroll through her social media until she remembered what day it was.

She sat upright that she suspected she might have got a ligament tear, and she was not ready for one more.

"My interview."

She sprinted to her room and called up a taxi.

"Bhai, come fast and drop me near MMC water purifier HQ."

The taxi driver lectured her on and on about how she should develop a habit of how to wake up early and how she should be independent.

Agatha rolled her eyes as she quickly applied her make-up, and she ran from her home and jumped over the football and bid the kids goodbye, and jumped right in the taxi. She quickly put on her Air-pods to avoid the lecture of the driver. Surprisingly, the driver looked different today. Agatha decided to not dwell on that, as it may result in another lecture. And she did not have her coffee properly, so it may result in an ugly argument.

She kept mum throughout the ride and the taxi driver kept mum as well. When they finally reached the location, she removed her air pods and proceeded to pay the driver, but then she forgot that she was broke.

"That's okay. Pay me when you have the money." The driver said.

Agatha looked up and saw a shocking sight. In fact, it was not her usual driver.

His face reminded him of Harry Styles, and his hair was on the right side of his face, in a messy pattern, and he colored it blue, her favorite color! His hands were muscular, and he wore a jacket and ripped jeans. A simple look, yet mesmerizing. Agatha immediately fell for him. She couldn't form sentences, but she eventually nodded and mouthed thank you.

He smiled. Agatha felt her heart just trying to explode.

"Don't let him leave you!"

Agatha shook that thought out of her. She had a big today.

She waddled inside the interview room, and who would've thought? She failed with flying colors. She decided to leave it and go home. She called an Uber, but then she decided she had to get some beer. She canceled the Uber and called the cabbie again.

"Hey, it's me, Agatha. The girl you dropped off today."

"Hi!" His sweet voice replied.

"I'm Krishna."

Agatha nodded. A very ladies' man god's name.

"I need a ride."

"Sure. Where to?"

"Shawn Shack Bar."

For a moment, Krishna was silent. Then he said "OK!"

In a few minutes, he honked for her, and she climbed aboard.

She took out two masks from her bag and passed one to Krishna. He looked confused.

"Is there a party?"

"Nope. We're gonna rob the place!" Agatha said.

Krishna braked abruptly.

"Out!"

After constant begging and threats, Krishna had to give in.

"All I need you to do is cause a distraction, while I sneak in the back and pick up a few crates of beers, then we go out in a jiffy. Simple as that."

"Gee, I don't know, Agatha. I have only done this in GTA V."

"Don't worry yaar."

Krishna quietly wore his mask and drove to the location.

Agatha went to the back door, and Krishna walked into the bar.

He acted drunk and shouted in front of everyone.

"Do you guys know why beer is the best?"

Everyone shrugged.

"It is medicine."

He spotted Agatha. She gave a thumbs up.

"You know, in Greece, drinking beer...is legal!"

Many of the people in the bar nodded and whooped. Some frantically took out their phones and booked tickets to Greece.

Agatha came out of the room with 4 crates of beer in both her hands. It was a miracle she could hold one of them.

"I gotta go, guys. The gods are calling me...to drink beer!"

He scooted away, but one of the people spotted Agatha, and quickly put two and two together.

Agatha ran top speed to the car, and Krishna climbed aboard.

"What, are you waiting to be disemboweled by 40-year-old people? GO!"

Krishna floored it, and they were pulled back.

The 40-year-olds were at their tail and the cops too joined the party.

Agatha rolled down a window and took a crate of beer.

"Eat this!"

She threw the bottles at the beer. Their chasers were coming at top speed, and the wheels popped, and they spun out the road.

Soon, only the 40-year-olds were left, and for that, Krishna helped.

He reversed the car and for a moment stunned the 40-year-olds and Agatha thew the bottles.

Eventually, the duo lost their chasers. Krishna dropped Agatha home, and bid her goodbye.

"That was fun."

"Fun if you are a sociopath."

Agatha let out a hearty laugh.

"Dude, you are young. This is the best time for you to do whatever you want. It's not like you can go partying when you're 40. You will be tied down and whatever. Stop worrying, man. Life is to be lived. Not to spiritually die of boredom before your body dies."

Krishna nodded.

The next few months went past in a daze. They went out to party, and on illegal street races, until finally, Agatha finally was deep in love, that she couldn't keep it in any longer.

She confessed to Krishna.

They sat on the beach, while Krishna pondered on what Agatha just said.

"Look, Agatha. I only saw you as a friend. Also, my heart is set for someone else."

Agatha couldn't bear the news. She walked away with tears in her eyes. Krishna called from behind, but she kept going.

She walked home, which was a bad idea. She was quickly tired and decided to stop for a cup of chai.

"Heartbreak?" The chai wala asked.

Agatha wondered if it was that obvious.

"It is beti."

"How can you read my mind?"

"I'm a man of many talents. Which included the best chai in Mumbai. Look me up on Yelp!"

Agatha smiled, but then she remembered about Krishna.

"Beti, to love someone, it doesn't have to mean that the other person must love you back. True love is when that person changes you. Krishna will never forget you. You taught him to enjoy life, while he taught you to be a law-abiding citizen."

Mr. Wise chai wala could see that Agatha was not convinced.

"Let's take Krishna and Radha for example. They were both one of the most famous couples in the entire world. Their love was so strong that they are still sung even now. But Radha realized that if she loves Krishna, she had to respect his decision. She accepted that their love was the truest. Krishna changed Radha immensely, and so did she. Even though Krishna is married to Rukmini, his heart stays with Radha, and not even Shiva can change that."

Agatha felt like she just saw the universe.

"Thank you, Mr. Wise chai wala."

But he was long gone.

Suddenly, she heard slow music. It was coming from a flute.

She could see the old man in the distance. His form flickered from the old man to...

"Krishna?"

He laughed a hearty laugh. He vanished, and Agatha woke up in her bed.

She prayed a silent prayer to Lord Krishna.

She tried again for a job at another company and she got it.

She now was stable in her life. She remembered what Krishna said to her.

Agatha nodded.

"I guess it was true love."
