Time, Tide, And Death
Time, Tide, And Death
My grandfather would always tell me that time and tide wait for no one. As a child I could never fathom what he meant by that. We'll always have time to do what we want. Life and time got taken for granted right through my growing years.
Growing up was fun. I lived near the beach. Sometimes I would pack a few sandwiches, fill a flask with chilled homemade lemonade and head to the beach equipped with a book, a mat to lie on, a towel, food and drink. I loved sitting on the dark sand and watching the waves meet the shore. Sometimes the water would recede and sometimes it would reach my feet. Irrespective of what happened the tide would change when it had to.
My grandfather and I had so many plans of traveling the world together, he wanted to show me the best of life, we had dreams of having a farm when I was older. Our plans were made in vain. We fell sick. My grandfather being a heart patient, wasn't strong enough to fight the flu. A few days later he passed away and along with him my dreams died too.
Time, Tide and death wait for no one. Make that choice, take a chance, fulfill those dreams or spend the rest of your life in regret.
