The Truth

Truth is greater than fiction.

Truth should become an action. 

Those who speak truth always.

Are respected, revered anyways.  

So why not be truthful to all?   

In turn, earn respect from all.   

Purushottam was a middleaged man who lived in a small town along with his wife, son and old parents. He used to work hard and sincerely and led a decent life providing all comforts to the family members. He looked after his parents too with care. His son was a young boy of 14 years. He used to observe how well his father fulfilled all responsibilities and considered him his role model. But as time passed by, he observed his mother nagging about looking after his elderly parents citing the reason that she herself was not energetic anymore and so advised Purushottam to join his parents in an old age home. She kept on nagging her husband, who became frustrated due to this nagging and finally decides to enquire about an old age home situated close by.

As he was getting ready to go out on this task, his young son Golu pesters his father to take him along. Of course, he did not know as to exactly where his father was planning to go. Purushottam yells at the boy to stay at home and study. But Golu continues his pestering. His father had no option but to tell him the real reason as to why Purushottam was going out. He tells Golu that he was going to an old age home to enquire some details after which his grandparents would be sent away to live in that home. Even after hearing that Golu continues pestering that he would accompany his father. Purushottam gets angry and scolds the boy saying why don't you understand that you have no work there. Golu says in reply to his father that he should be taken along to check the old age because once his own parents, that is Purushottam and his wife, become old they too would be left in the old age home. This was a tight slap that awoke the conscience of Purushottam and his wife who realised their mistake and apologised to the elderly parents and looked after them very well then onwards.
