Even before Meg opened her mouth to tell what had happened, her best friends narrated the whole incident without leaving a space to breathe.

This is quite normal, her mom said in a relaxed tone and started chatting with them as asual adding oil to Meg's fire.

As they left, Meg booked the cab online and held her hands.

Do you want to have something?, she asked with love.

No, I am full, she replied angrily.

Maybe the usual mood swings her mom thought. They traveled back home in complete silence.

As they entered, Meg threw up. She held her head and cleaned the mess after giving some water to Meg.

I will make herbal drink for you. You will feel easy after drinking it, her mom announced wearing her apron.

Mom, I don't want anything. Give me my space. I will recover soon. Its just that the food didn't suit me, she added.

Hmm, she replied.

That night Amudhan came home late night and all slept instantly without any discussions like every day. It's their rule to have dinner together on the round table and discuss about the day and each one enjoyed it so much except Meg who found her mom annoying talking about the latest fashion trends, her book club and fitness mantra.

Meg wasn't the way like now. Her mom was her best friend and the whole locality knows about it. She used to discuss every single detail about her day to mom and they both were like one soul in two different bodies.

Like a sudden downpour after a hot day, everything shattered. The moment her father bought his wife, her mother a smartphone, everything altered.

The complete attention which meg got was divided among her friends. Her mom who doesn't interact with any or travel started getting along with her friends whom she lost contact years ago, met them frequently and her posts started reaching more audience, which means more time was given to others. Meg's parents too joined the list and thier daughters started talking alot about her mom and how she is so lucky to be her daughter which made her feel inferior.

She knew jealousy is a negative emotion yet she couldn't control it. All she wanted was the undivided attention of her mom and love. She couldn't express her feelings towards her mom nor be happy for her happiness.

The war between love and hatred began and successfully hatred won and as a result she started hating what all her mom did.

She on the other hand thought the changes in her daughter are natural as she is in her mid teenage and went along with the flow.
