"It looks adorable. When did you do this?", her grandmother asked clicking a close up shot of it.

"Ma, it's a live one. It's not the clay miniature, please be careful", she alerted her.

"Omg, it looks cute!"

"Where did you get these?", she asked resting on her arm chair.

Sam explained the whole episode and by then her mother stepped in followed by Krish, her seven

year pug, blacky, the trained dobberman, kutty ponnu, the german shepherd and kanni, the white hamster.

"I feel like I am living in a zoo, Sam!", yelled her mother. "You save animals and you care for them that's a good quality but you add a pet after pet. I am old and she is too, we can't look after them anymore."

"Who said I am old?", her grandmother got up looking tensed. "I am still young and don't you comment upon my age."

The usual drama began, as Sam plugged her headphones and started cooking the meals for her pet animals.

Sam's father was a zoo keeper and since her childhood her life was along with the animals. From the books she read to the movies she watched, every single detail was based on animals. At the age of six, she saw a cow delivering a calf without fear and she had a personal connection with every animal!

Her father retired few years back and by then she decided to become a veterinarian and protect animals. He is her motivator and support system and at present rescue stray animals and helps to foster them.

Amala, Sam's mother married Mohan due to his job but accidentally, he and Sam spending more time with animals than her caused a hatred feeling towards animals yet she feeds them on time complaining around the clock.

Knowing all this Sam keeps quiet as she loves her mother than anyone else in her small world.

As she fed the tortoise, her doorbell rang.

She know who it was!

Her father bought in a squirrel slightly injured. Sam took him on his hands and gave the first aid whereas Amala put the milk in sim and cleaned the nipples of the baby feeding mother.
