The Lazy Butterfly

Once upon a time, there lived a lazy and careless butterfly with her hardworking friends, honey bee and wasp. It so happened that one morning, the butterfly woke up very late only to find that her friends had already gone out to collect nectar from the flowers of a nearby garden. She thought that if she did not perform her daily job for a day, her friends would not mind. So she skipped going to the garden.

When her friends reached home carrying the whole pot of nectar and they found the butterfly did not do so, they got very angry. They said, "oh you lazy butterfly! If you do not collect the nectar tomorrow, you will be barred to enter our house." The butterfly promised her friends to do as she was told. But the next day, same thing happened. And this time her friends did not allow her inside the house. She spent the freezing cold and dark night outside.

In the morning, the butterfly woke up before time and went to gather the nectar. And when she reached home carrying two pots filled with nectar, she was warmly welcomed by her friends again. From that day onward, the little butterfly realised the importance of hardwork and promised herself never to be lazy and careless again.
