The Curious case of four little rocks

The Curious case of four little rocks

Out of the million different thoughts I have in my head on a daily basis, contorting and twisting my thoughts came another "absurd" idea or maybe some invisible fairy just whispered the secret idea to me in my sleep and now I have it for me to keep. Won't beat around the bush, the chain of events is somewhat as follows:We recently were at Pebbles beach- a small secluded waterbody amidst the green hills and a fort as old as time, the waves hitting the rocks around it for ages and giving birth to new shapes and forms throughout the vast trail of time.

A beautiful place, really, except for the descend and climb, which shook my marbles(read rocks- pun intended obviously).

After spending time looking at the endless waterbody make its way into the Rock paradise, my father being the "I need a souvenir person" picked up 4 round, glossy pebbles precisely each for one family member ( sweet I know).

So along came the pebbles with us to our home back in the city which never really sleeps( neither do its people )while I was unpacking, I gently picked up our guests( okay stones, I won't be cocky anymore) and displayed them near our small garden in the balcony. Gazing at it lovingly was when the thought descended. A wave of sadness gripped my very core "Did we just uproot four very happy stones, getting washed by the blue foamy waves under the red sun, surrounded by pretty trees, serving as seats for birds and small ants and get them here, in a city filled with people rushing to make it, running day and night without a stop- to be displayed in the garden of a flat in a ten-story building surrounded by other buildings?:(" (yes the thought was that long)I sat down for a second, I took the case of homeless rocks very seriously, you see. For a second I thought they'd wake up from their primordial sleep and cry their hearts out as an outcome of their displacement.

Or did I just encourage my overtly large imagination or did an invisible little fairy really let me in on her secret, to tell me we need to get these four stones back Home.

Either ways if I get to go back- to that beautiful beach, for the reunion of these Rockies with mother nature- another vacation per se?

I'm not complaining
