My roommate is a chirpy bird, live with life all the time. Smile also thinks twice to depart from her face. Swirling with life, embracing her freedom she experiences away from parents and now boss of her own. Spreading her arms and feeling the sweet kiss of gentle breeze that blow, she thinks indeed how good the freedom looks. unaware of the reality that freedom always accompanied respondible. As of now, everything appears right in her sight. Life was all good and pace was just perfect.

Young to her age, with no experience of really world is, she steps into the world unknown. Clean in her spirit and innocent in her soul she accepts all that world tells. Caring and altruistic was she. Her eyes never missed one moment when someone calles for help. But this goodness everyone seeks is the double-edged sword, if not used wisely might engulf you too.

My chirpy roommate all of a sudden confined to room. Midsing classes was never her The one who never missed her meals suddenly started avoiding meals. It appeared wiered and I knew something is not right but interference was not my approach. I believe we all are adults and we know how to deal with our problems. So I waited, if she wants my help.

Finally, she initiated the talk. The matter is really serious, something concerning once own character. And the worst part of the scene is that her own best friend is no longer trusting her, but in fact poses serious allegations which are true too. Now she is broken, shattered and alone, not knowing how to deal with the situation. The semester exams are in about a fortnight time and she has no peace of mind. Stuck-up with this and unable to do anything she finds herself helpless.

Seeing her restless and agony, I knew not whether I will really be helpful to her or not that too at this critical hour. She looks at me with much hope but the hour is so critical and the matter is so sensitive that needs time and patience.

As I got deep into the matter with her I realized the utter misconception that has ruined her life. No doubt what she did was wrong and the way her friends are treating is partly correct but these all things are going to affect her exams and ultimately her future.

Firstly, I reassured her. I said we all are human beings and we all do mistakes and learns. No problem you also did one mistake and you will also learn from this. I also said her, be free to say anything, I'll never be judgmental to you. I'll accept you in every form, just take care not to repeat your mistakes. I'm always there to help you.

Finally relieved of a bit of guilt she further shared that broken trust of her friend, her cousin and her most beloved companion. She accepted her mistake but don't know how to repair it. She wanted to talk and settle the matter at the earliest. But this is not the case when a person is hurt or when their trust is broken.

They had a heated talk and each of them expressed their part. Though there was lightening of emotions there but the wounds are still fresh. Forgetting them is not so easy.

The gutted friend finally approached me and said, 'Do you know what Miss. Xxx did?' I said, 'I know the matter to some extent but not completely.' She said, 'You know she has crossed her limits and she doesn't even feel ashamed if it.' I replied, 'You both are mature enough to take decisions and I completely agree that as a friend you should check her, but you all should be compassionate too to forgive her and accept.' She muttered, 'Forgiveness no way.' I explained, 'When you do wrong does your mother abandons you?' She replied, 'Yes.' I understood her lever of anguish and anger and smiled at her and ssid, 'No dear, mother never abandons but labors till the end to fetch some goodness that might salvage.' But she was not at all ready to listen. Slowly she started to distance from me too.

Here my friend is even more distressed. She says, ' The moment I join the crowd where the other friend Miss Yyy is there, she will take leave.' So finally my friend Xxx takes care that she doesn't trouble her anymore. I said to her, 'Some wounds take longer time to heal. Have patience, and give her space, things will get better in its own time. Don't try to fix things, let time do miracle.'

Very understanding and caring person she is. Patiently she bore all and quietly she took all agony that was killing her so that Yyy can be at peace. Slowly she calmed down.

Over a period of a week or so she stabalized and took a keen analysis of her situation. Took some firm but good decisions which proved to be rewarding at the end. I saw her shift from a state of complete disbalancd to complete compost shift towards her studies. She sincerely started studying and she now says, 'Now these matters doesn't bother me. I'm good now.'

And then was the birthday of Yyy. Xxx had been always there in her birthday but this time she said, 'No, I'll not go, else she gets disturbed. Exams are near and I don't want to trouble her anymore.' Being the middle man I finally went to Yyy to bless her on her birthday.

The first thing she asked me as she saw me, 'Xxx didn't come.' I replied, 'She is yet not awake.' Yyy was having biscuits as breakfast for the breakfast fast was not good in the mess. I ran and came to my room and broke the suspence to Xxx. I said, 'The first thing Yyy asked me was Xxx didn't come.' I said Xxx 'Go and wish her on her birthday and take her for breakfast if she is comfortable. Make her birthday special.' For a while she pondered and inquired to her best friend and then finally called Yyy and invited for breakfast.

Yyy was highly elated and accepted. All other friends who yoo distanced her reunited and her patience and quietness finally rewarded her with even more deeper and sound friendship. Three cheers to her sensible and sound workout with patience. Sometimes what we fail to workout, time steals the show. So be encouraged and keep going, there is always a way beyond the horizon. If it was not there space would have never been discovered and would not have been moving.
