The Brave Princess Darell

There once lived a princess. Her name was Darell. Darell was a very brave girl. She had a secret identity. She was also the famous ‘Justice girl’ who brought justice to the helpless. She stole from the rich to give to the poor. She was great at archery too. She was like the great Robin Hood. Some also called her Second Robin Hood.

Darell had two best friends, named John and Mary. They knew about her secret identity. Together they were called the ‘The Justice Team’ because sometimes John and Mary went with Darell on her adventures. Darell was the daughter of the King and the Queen, Mary was the daughter of the King’s army’s chief and John was the son of one of the minister in the King’s court. John had a little sister named Sophie.

One day the King found out that the precious jewel he was going to give his nephew Prince Harry on the day of the prince’s coronation was stolen. The King decided to take the help of ‘Justice girl’ to find the jewel. He wrote her a letter asking her to come to the tallest tower at midnight.

Darell went to the tallest tower at midnight. The King was already there. “What’s your name? Where are you from?” asked the King. “Sire, I am from this kingdom and my name is Darell”, said Darell. “Please reveal yourself to me”, said the King. Darell unbuttoned her mask and revealed her face. The King was shocked, but tried not to show it. He thought he wouldn’t give the mission to her. But Darell said, “Today I stand before you as a girl who fights crime not as your daughter. Please, I want the mission”, The king was taken aback. “My little girl who believed in fairies and mermaids has grown up”, said King, rather tearfully. “So may I go?” asked Darell. “You may”, the said King. Darell vanished.

Darell went to John and Mary. She asked their parents if she could take her friends away for a while. Sophie asked her brother, “When do you return?” . “We return soon, little one”, John said and hugged Sophie. Then they started their journey.

“We finish the work in four days” said Darell. “Darell, do you think four days is enough?” asked Mary. “Certainly. We may finish it in less a time ” said Darell.

The next day the trio almost crossed Kennybrooke, but they didn’t stop. Then, after a while they heard two men talking. One was fat while the other had wrinkles. “Where do you think Jack kept the jewel?” asked the fat one, “I think Jack kept it in the secret lair, Kevin” said the one with the wrinkles. “Really Nick? I never went into the secret lair” said Kevin. “Well, today you will” said Nick. The men started walking. “Let’s follow them”, said Darell, The two nodded in agreement.

The trio followed the two men named Nick and Kevin everywhere. At last the two stopped in front of an old cottage. The two men went inside the three also went inside. The three saw a man asking Kevin and Nick to help him pick a heavy bag. “That must be Jack”, said John aloud. Kevin and Nick who were picking the bag turned. Jack stared. John, Mary and Darell took their weapons out. Jack, Kevin and Nick also took their weapons out. Then the six started fighting. At last Darell, John and Mary won. The three took the jewel and the thieves and went.

Bruised, the three reached Kennybrooke with thieves and jewel when the soldiers saw them, they took the six to the king. The king felt very proud when he saw Mary, John and Darell. He took the jewel from then and thanked them. He put the thieves behind bars.

Everything went well in the coronation, without any mishap. The old King and his Queen, the newly crowned King Harry and his cousin, the brave Princess Darell lived happily ever after.
