Superpower

   ''Woman' the best creation of God the superpower and the supreme commander, is being subjected to all kinds of atrocities whether mental or physical at the hands of men No law, no bureaucracy, no police or political powers are able to control the hooligans who stoop to any level to prove their supremacy over women.                                

This is a story based on real episodes of discussion a group of like-minded women had. They were in a meeting which was a routine matter that was a part of their activities at a ladies club. These ladies would work for the sake of orphans,look after old age homes as well as NGOs who were socially aware of their responsibilities         Secretary of the club Mrs Anju circulated a message on the site of the ladies' club inviting all members to attend the meeting on Tuesday the 22 November at 3.30 pm. The agenda was to discuss about how woman was subjected to various problems whether in Office, public transport, or at marketplace etc. After the day's discussion they would have to write an essay about if they were given superpowers what they would do to make the world a better place to live especially for women. Something very exciting and interesting thought all the members. They arrived at the venue on time with so many ideas in their minds about the topic they had to speak about. Each one's blood was boiling thinking about the news that was telecast every day since the past week or so about a young girl who was choked to death and butchered by her own make friend. Her only mistake being her blind faith in that person.        

 As the discussion began each one expressed their anger, anguish and irritation about how things were getting worse for women day by day. One of the members narrated how a middle-aged woman was physically troubled by a man who was lame and old. She was at a medical store buying medicines that were to be taken by her every day. He tried touching her arms and shoulders purposefully. She understood his intentions and had to silently come out of the stores without buying the medicines. Hearing this all ladies felt so enraged. The next narrative made them even more angry. The member who spoke next was disha and she narrated an incident that happened with her young daughter who had gone to the tuition class. While returning home by walk as disha could not pick her up from the class which she normally does. Two young men started following her and caught up with her. They tried stopping her by holding her arm. Luckily there was a lady whose vehicle was stuck due to some technical issue and a mechanic was present there. Seeing them the duo simply slipped away from there. It was so terrifying for the young girl and her mother too. After all the members spoke about the ordeals, some faced by themselves and some that were faced by others, the women felt that they were so helpless sometimes irrespective of all laws and regulations. They were wondering what would be the best solution to these problems. Whether the mind set of people should change or they should be blessed with some superpowers to solve these problems.       

After these rounds of talks got over each one of the members were asked to pen down their experiences if any, solutions to these problems as per their thoughts and expectations. Few of them wrote short essays and few of them wrote longer ones. Each one had the same feelings about women and atrocities against them. But one essay stood out for its novel way of dealing with these situations. It may not be practically possible OfCourse but what is it that stops us from imagining. The writer was a young lady who was confident and successful. She had ideas that were mostly out of the box. She started about woman power, human power and finally it was super power that include three aspects that stood out. The topics were teleportation, shape shifting and the last one being telekinesis... She was asked to explain them and how they could be of any use to people in distress. The first feature teleportation would be able to transport people through any passage and even in space within no time. Well, this is a superpower really, agreed all listeners. It was so exciting to even imagine about some such power.                  

 The next feature even more intriguing and interesting was shape shifting that tells about how human beings can take the shape of any living or non-living things making it seem so adventurous, advanced and unique.                 

The last feature in the list was telekinesis. Which is a feature better than the other two mentioned above.it is the power that can move objects not physically but with mental power. This can be considered a real power that is super power which if can be used in required situation may prove useful and helpful. Having said all these the young lady concluded saying having superpowers will be very helpful and useful in circumstances that put people in trouble and such powers should be available to everyone so that world becomes a safe, secure and happy place to live.
