It was a typical chaotic morning at the hospital, with the sound of beeping machines, rustling of papers, and murmurs of hushed conversations filling the air. The four interns, Sarah, Alex, Aisha, and Vikram, stood outside the ward, sipping their lukewarm coffee and discussing their plan of action for the day.

Sarah, her dark hair tied up in a ponytail and a stethoscope around her neck, meticulously reviewed the patient charts, her eyes scanning the pages with a mixture of intensity and fatigue. Alex, with his scruffy beard and worn-out shoes, leaned against the wall, listening intently as Aisha, in her bright pink hijab and colorful scrubs, paced back and forth, gesturing animatedly about the treatment plan. Vikram, with short hair and thick-framed glasses, nodded along, taking mental notes.

As they finished their discussion, they took a deep breath, mentally preparing themselves for the long day ahead. They had been working non-stop for weeks, barely finding time for rest. But they knew they had to push on for the sake of their patients and their own education.

And so, they began their rounds, moving from room to room, examining patients, taking notes, and discussing treatment plans. The hours ticked by slowly, each minute feeling like an eternity.

It was during one of these rounds that Alex noticed something peculiar about their patient's behavior. She was acting strangely, her eyes unfocused and her speech slurred. Alex's instincts kicked in, and he decided to investigate further.

Without hesitation, he quickly performed an ultrasound, his hands moving swiftly and precisely over the patient's abdomen. The machine beeped and whirred, displaying the images on the screen.

Alex's eyes widened as he saw the results. The patient's liver was failing, likely due to complications from tuberculosis treatment. He knew immediate action was necessary.

But in his haste, Alex made a critical mistake. He started a new treatment without confirming the diagnosis first. It was a decision made under pressure, and soon, their seniors stepped in, sternly addressing the error.

The four interns were assigned punishment duty - bedside duty for the next week. They couldn't leave the hospital, their exhaustion mounting.

Even amidst the chaos, they found solace in each other's company. They knew they were a team, finding strength in their unity to continue despite the challenges ahead.
