Old Man And Son

Old Man And Son

2 mins
257

My heart grows cold, its beating is no longer melodious

I have asked questions and made enquires but no answer

Searching within and without but finding no rest

Oh, what has happened:

Find me the ancient man, maybe he can tell me

Maybe he will teach wisdom from his own experiences

For I have lost the grip of where I'm heading

Everywhere seems like a destination

Old man:

Oh son, why look for an old man in the modern century

Why search for old memories in a man

Why have you awaken the counsel of a man that his voice is no longer heard

What do you seek?

Son

Oh, my father, I have burdens that kill and stories that touch

Few are my days and troubles are my case

I miss my way, and now my heartache

I lost something I can't find, what I don't know but I'm lonely on this path

Old man

If I may say my son,

The journey is still far, take wisdom with you

The road is narrow, let go of most desires

Find knowledge and keep it

It produces its fruit when in action

Son

Where can I find this wisdom oh man

Please where can I buy this knowledge

How can a young man stay without desires

Help me, my father

Old man

Temptations are from desires

To acquire wisdom be willing

Knowledge is far from a fool

And so is genuine laughter

Son

Father, who knows his beginning unless been told

Who knows their destination if not shown

But the way I lost direction

For there are must branches on this path

Old man

This I learned, and I comprehended after many errors

Experience gives knowledge but wisdom is from the creator

How far you wander from intimacy, you depart from discipline

Desire without direction, You have wonder from purpose.

Old man

Submission is better than pride

Attention before action is worth the time

For arrogance kills destiny

And pride comes before destruction, oh son
