*𝓜𝓪𝔂𝓪'𝓼 𝓹𝓸𝓿*

1 week. 1 fucking week since he went into a coma. I met him every single fucking day. Ryder started worrying about me since I would barely eat or sleep. I skipped my training, and my dad was worried to the point he was ready to call Brett, my older brother to come and blackmail me to eat and sleep. 

*Doorbell rings*

Ugh. 

"WHY CAN'T EVERYONE IN THE WORLD BUT RYDER FUCK OFF!"

I groan and drag myself to the door. 

I was surprised to see, Dad and Brett? 

Oh boy. 

"Maya" My dad greeted, surprised at my appearance. 

"Girl, no joke you have got a dam loudspeaker fits into your vocal cords. I was 15 blocks away from your house on a call and I still heard you loud and clear"

The first thing I did was twist Brett's arm behind his back and use my leg to thrust his body ahead. He yelped in pain, as I dropped his hand out of my grip and let him kiss the floor. 

I glance at my dad with my now black eyes, before going back to my room. 

A solid 2 minutes later, he knocked on the door. 

"Maya, I have news... "

I groaned. This cannot be good. 

"Can I come in?"

I let out a muffled by the pillow yeah and heard the door softly creek open. 

"Cole... Is not in a coma."

What? 

"He was but he woke up somehow. He woke up, but he was with... 

Evelyn. And lost his memories"

My eyes grew wide. I started panting, everything around me started spinning. Soon enough, I fainted. The last thing I heard was my father yelling at me and telling Brett to call Ryder. 

*𝕽𝖞𝖉𝖊𝖗'𝖘 𝖕𝖔𝖛*

She got a panic attack. She heard about Cole and it made her feel shocked and depressed, that he didn't remember her anymore and that he thinks Evelyn is the love of his life. 

Her father called me as soon as she fainted. And seeing her laying on the bed, with panic written on her face made me feel that Evelyn had something to do with Cole's memory loss and his waking up. 

Ryder won't forget Maya that easy and I know that.

If anything, I know he remembers her but, of course, Evelyn was able to mist his eyes with her lies. 

She held my hand tight as if she was afraid if she let go I'll disappear or something will happen to me. I smiled as her body relaxed when I gave her hand a tight squeeze.

"Son, may I have a word with you?" Her father walked into the room, carrying an intimidating Roma around him. I nodded my head. 

"Yes, sir."

"Call me Mr.Xavier"

"Yes, si- Mr.Xavier"

I corrected myself before I said, sir. 

"Follow me"

I did as he said and followed him to the front porch. 

"I know my daughter likes you, a lot. And I am more than happy she met someone like you and Cole. But I may warn you, if anything happens to her I will reload my guns with the best bullets I own and I'll use you as a target board." 

His voice said he wasn't joking, which made me gulp. 

"Yes Mr.Xavier, I will never let anything happen to her, if it happens, it will be over my dead body and my soul ripped out of its ribcage."

He smirked at my truthfulness and said, 

"You're a good man, Ryder. Don't let anyone in the world change that."

I smiled at that. 

"Yes Mr.Xavier, I'll keep that in mind."

We went back to Maya's room to see her waking up. Mr.Xavier patted me on the back before leaving me with an emo Maya. She stared at me as if studying me. 

"It wasn't a dream, was it? Cole is actually having a memory loss and thinking Evelyn is his girlfriend right? Ryder, please tell me this is all just a bad nightmare."

My heart ached. 

"Maya, it's true... He forgot everything and Evelyn misted him with lies."

I saw tears slipping from her eyes as she stared at me in disbelief. 

"No... It can't be"

I went to her and hugged her. She sobbed into my muscle shirt and hugged me. I just thought one thing,
