MYSTERY WITH CLANCY SMITH!

Clancy was a young 19-year-old girl with brown hair and green eyes. Clancy decided to spend the summer with her mom in California. Clancy left for her flight and within 3 hours she reached. She met her mom, and she was very happy to see her as she had not met her for a long time. Clancy loved reading books and one day she was reading a mystery story about Nancy drew and suddenly her mom called her for dinner. Clancy went downstairs and had dinner. Suddenly she spotted a room. Clancy remembered that when she was young her mom never used to allow her in that room. Clancy wanted to figure out the mystery of that room. After dinner Clancy watched some Netflix and the moment her mom fell asleep, she went to that room and tried to open it, but it was locked. 

 

Clancy went to the box where her mom used to keep all the keys. She took some unusual keys and went back to the room. She tried those keys and one of them opened the door. Clancy slowly tried to go in and then her mom shouted from upstairs " Clancy!! What are you doing down there?" " umm! Nothing mom! I'm having some water from the kitchen" " I am sorry mom, but I want to know what's in this room" said Clancy in her mind. Clancy went back upstairs and went back to bed. The next day her mom had to go out as one of her friends had an accident. Clancy's mom Mrs. Jenny said" Clancy, please take care of yourself and I will be back in an hour". Clancy's mom left and Clancy again tried to open the door and this time she went inside and switched on the light, but that was not very stable. It kept on flickering.

 

It was an old, rusted bedroom and Clancy started investigating. She found some old papers and paintings and she found a diary under the bed. She dusted off the dust from it and opened it and it belonged to Mr. David smith. Clancy was shocked as it was her father's diary who had passed away 14 years ago! Clancy wondered why her mom won't let her go in. It was her dad's room. Clancy took the diary and shut the light and locked the door and went back to her room and began reading the diary, there were pictures of her dad and her mom and there was someone named Mr. Lucas brown. It was written that he was a very good friend of her dad's and he had betrayed him. Clancy wanted to figure out who was Lucas? Clancy's mind struck a thought and suddenly her mom called " Clancy I'm home!!" Clancy quickly hid the diary under her bed and went downstairs.

 

" Hey mom!" said Clancy. " Hi, my dear come let's order something from out today!" replied her mom. Clancy ordered some soup and salad and after dinner her mom went to bed and Clancy wanted to figure out about Lucas. She wanted to ask her grandma Mrs. Lily so she called her up. " Hi granny! How are you?" asked Clancy. " I'm' good dear! " Replied

her grandma. " Clancy directly came to the point and asked, " granny do you know who Lucas Brown is?" " oh yes, my dear! He was your dad's best friend, you come to my house, and I will tell you about him" replied Mrs. Lily. " Okay granny I will come tomorrow!" replied Clancy hanging up. Then Clancy went to bed and the next morning she left a note in the

kitchen for her mom and left. She reached her grandma's place and greeted her warmly.

 

She entered inside and asked her grandma about Lucas. Her grandma showed her some pictures of Lucas and her dad. Her grandma told" your dad was a great explorer, he travelled everywhere with Lucas." What my dad was an explorer??" replied a confused Clancy. " Yes! Look he researched about fossils and here are the pictures" replied Mrs. Lily while opening a very old diary. Clancy took a look at those pictures, and she asked her grandma " where is Lucas Brown right now"? Asked Clancy. " I don't really know but check out your dad's room. I know he used to write a diary before he got murdered," replied Mrs. Lily. " What my dad was murdered"??? Asked Clancy shocked! " Yes, my dear, he was thrown

from the 21st floor." " okay thank you so much granny" replied Clancy leaving the house. Clancy was shocked as her mom had told her that her dad expired by heart attack. She quickly rushed home with a shock and went to her dad's room and began searching the diary. She finally found the diary.

 

 Clancy went back to her room and started reading the diary, she found some old pictures and a video tape of her dad and Lucas. Then she found Lucas's address and phone number at the end page of the diary. Clancy quickly dialled the number, and a very soft voice came from the other side. " Hello Mr. Lucas speaking." " umm! Yes hello Mr. Lucas I am Clancy smith the daughter of David smith and I urgently want to meet you. " Oh yes! Hello, my dear, sure come to my house at 11 am sharp tomorrow. I will message you the address" replied Lucas and hanged up. Clancy received the message and quickly saved it. " The next thing in the morning is go meet Lucas" said Clancy in her mind. Next morning Clancy left and met Lucas. She quickly came to the point and asked " how was my dad murdered?? And did you betray him as I read in his diary. " Dear, your dad was not murdered he suicided, and we were best friends I never betrayed him said Lucas while giving a smirk. 

But I don't believe you as it was written in my dad's diary. Clancy quickly opened the page and read aloud.

" My best friend Lucas betrayed me with some property ." this is written here tell me the truth or I will call the cops said Clancy angrily". " Lucas replied" okay okay! Don't Call The Cops Please! , I will tell you everything. Me and your dad were best friends and at the time I used to own a big business in Japan and your dad asked me some money and I gave him, but he did not owe me back and I got mad and threw him from the 21st floor." replied Lucas. " What?? How can you? I need to call the cops said Clancy and got up and called the cops. The cops arrived and Clancy told them everything. Clancy called her mom and grandma as well and she solved her father's murder case.
