"I need all of those answers today, Myra. Come what may. And you know what to do. Take absolutely drastic measures if need be.", Rahul left a very stern command for his assistant Myra.

"Rahul, won't you be late for work? Come here. Let's have breakfast so we can leave. I am also getting late.", Sara, his wife yelled from the dining table.

"Yes baby, coming right away.", uttered Rahul in a very soft voice which was in stark contrast to his earlier hard tone.

Rahul took a seat near his wife with a sweet smile on his face.

"So Mr CEO today is my turn of dropping you. Better hurry up.", Sara said in a playful tone.

Rahul chuckled at that.

"Yes, sassy architect."

This was their manner of addressing each other. Rahul was the CEO of a popular Tech company GreyTech. And Sara was a freelance architect. They had been married for 3 years now after 2 years of dating.

However, what Sara didn't know was Rahul's being the CEO was a façade. Rahul was a leader in the underworld, of a newly formed organization which had instilled terror in every criminal's mind. Yes, his was an organization which dealt with and got rid of criminals illegally. That's how it was. Rahul had taken extreme precautions to not let Sara know about this. Not because he did not trust her, but because he wanted to protect her, as every spouse would want to protect their other half.

After Sara dropped him, Rahul spoke with an apprehensive Myra who was actually his second-in-command. She had not been able to complete the task given by him earlier which was basically to extract information from a drug lord. The torture methods used by this organization were brutally unique. No one had ever escaped the clutches of this torture. But this drug lord seemed to be resilient enough to withstand it.

He entered a secret cabin within the company which had the most advanced security measures. To those unknowing, it was just an ordinary wall. Only a few trusted and Rahul's trustworthy knew the truth.

"Now Myra, I need you to do one thing. Get the new recruits we have recently appointed to extract information from them. It will do us two benefits - we would get the information if they are successful with their new techniques and we would understand their capability.", Rahul spoke like a true leader which he was.

"Sure sir. Currently, we just have one of the recruits reporting. She's had a brilliant track record in underground fights. Illegal. But now she wants to use her skills for a better purpose. She wants to join us.", Myra said with a determined tone.

Rahul could make it seem that she already liked this new recruit.

"Alright bring her in," Rahul commanded.

"May I come in?", a very familiar voice greeted Rahul. He was taken aback.

'No she cannot be, can she?', he thought with a vehement hesitation.

"Come in.", he ordered.

"So Miss. New recruit," saying so Rahul glanced up.

He could see a very shocked and perplexed Sara standing in front of him, his expressions now mirroring hers.

Gradually those expressions gave in a way to anger, confusion and hurt. Sara's were the same.

"Underground fights? Illegal work? Then who is the freelance architect Sara? You, or your doppelganger, huh?", questioned Rahul in a no-nonsense tone. He was absolutely perplexed and needed some answers right away.

"Oh, so CEO Mr Rahul Sehgal, or the underworld cartel leader huh? I could ask you the same.", Sara mocked in sarcastic anger at Rahul.

"Why did you lie to me, Sara? And why this façade of an architect? Tell me the truth, now?", Rahul yelled in frustration.

"Aren't you a hypocrite? So you want to know the entire truth and are accusing me of being a liar, whereas, even I had no idea of your identity?", Sara yelled in an equally frustrated tone.

"Ahh, so those sudden trips when your best friend needed you, especially at night were your escapades to underground fighting rings, am I right Sara? I can't believe this. You fooled me for 5 years?", Rahul continued their shouting match.

"Of course, and the sudden business trips for your cartel work, right?", Sara retorted.

"Sir, we need to interrogate?", Myra interrupted their conversation. They had forgotten of her presence in the office. Both glared at a perplexed Myra who wished nothing more than to run away from there.

"Let's see how capable you are Sara or if you had also lied about that?", Rahul mocked at her.

Sara just threw him a death glare.

Myra escorted them both to the secret room used for torturing and interrogating the victims. Just as they entered, a pungent smell of blood and filth hit them. Despite being used to it, Rahul's nose twitched with irritation. However, Sara stood there unfazed, her gaze traversing across the room appreciatively as though being immensely excited to take over the reins. In the centre of the room, she could see the drug lord in an extremely bruised and battered condition. She cast him an extremely venomous glare. Rahul could not believe it was Sara, his wife standing in front of him. It seemed as though she was a completely new person or as though his Sara had been replaced by her evil twin.

"Miss. Sara, you may....", even before Myra could complete her statement, Rahul interjected,

"Mrs Sehgal. Refer to her as Mrs Sehgal Myra.", Rahul stated firmly staring at Saar without even blinking an eyelid as though daring her to argue with his stance.

A flabbergasted Myra looked between Sara and Rahul with wide eyes.

"Sir.....she...you...your wife?", Myra was unable to understand the situation and stuttered with her words trying to form a coherent statement.

"Yes, she is. And now, Sara I think you should already proceed with what you have come for. Or are you having second thoughts, hmm?", Rahul asked in a serious tone, but Sara having known him for years now could detect the sarcasm in his tone.

"Bring it on Myra. But I want you and your boss to wait outside. This is the way I do business.", Sara stated in a no-nonsense tone with such conviction that Rahul decided to drop any further arguments and just go with the flow.

After an hour, Sara came outside with some bloodied knuckles and a knife dripping with blood.

"Myra, you may take the recording and check it along with your boss. You guys will have all the info you need.", she stated with a proud grin on her face as though she had not just tortured the living hell out of a brutal criminal.

Rahul was extremely proud of Sara, but at the same time, he was confused about how she was able to make the person speak.

"Sara, how, wow?", Rahul exclaimed.

"My dear Mr Sehgal,", said Sara wiping a drop of blood from her forehead, "there are a lot of things you don't know about me. But one thing, you must know for sure, don't ever let anyone get on my bad side. I just love playing psychological and emotional games with my victims.", she stated with a sadistic grin.

"My my, Mrs Sehgal. Such a mystery you are. An enigma. Who knew that the shy, timid Sara who's scared of cockroaches, tortures mighty criminals?"

"Indeed Rahul. Such a pity you could not see through my façade.", Sara mocked.

"On a serious note,", Sara stared into his eyes.

"I really do love you Rahul and I had never pretended that. Yes, the rest of the things are a façade. But me with you, that had never been one. I am still the same Sara who loves being with you all the time, and who is head over heels for you. So please do not let this get between us.", Sara almost pleaded in a soft voice.

'Rahul took his hands within his own.

"Look at me, baby. I know I behaved like a hypocrite some time prior. Yes, you are a mystery, especially seeing you like this here has blown away my mind, but then again, even I had lied to you. Even I have broken your trust. Yes, I also do love you, always have, a lot. And nothing will change that.", Rahul squeezed her hands warmly and pecked her nose as always.

Sara smiled gently.

"Hey, however, now that this enigma has worked for me, I would want her to work with me always. What say, baby? Join us?", Rahul questioned.

"Of course dear. That was what I have wanted for a long.", Sara replied with a beaming smile.

"But we do need to sit and have a long chat.", she stated.

"Sure we do.", Rahul agreed.

"Hey babe, we will sound so amazing now, right? Just like Mr and Mrs Smith, we would be Mr and Mrs Sehgal.", Sara started chuckling.

Rahul stared at her for a moment and then joined her in a bout of laughter.

They walked away hands in hand. They still had a lot to clear, a lot of mysteries to address, yet one thing would never change, they knew. Their love for each other.
