As some of you may know, I am somewhat of a motivational writer. That is why today, I have decided to choose the very topic that reflects my writing, Motivation.

So, let me ask you all something, what is motivation? To many people, it's different things but we all know the base concept of motivation. It is the needs, desires or wants that drive an individual. We all require motivation, it’s a necessity, just like I needed motivation to start writing this in the first place. Without motivation, we are nothing but monotonous wage-earners just following protocol, for the hell of it. Motivation brings passion and it is that passion that makes the work so much more effective. But, imagine that for xyz reason, one loses their motivation, then what?

Each one has their own individual experience of this particular situation. When you lose the one thing you held most important to you, or you experience betrayal of some kind, your body tends to crumple into itself. Yeah, there are some of you that remain unaffected but, mark my words, one day the mountain will grow too high and you will come crashing down. It leads to anxiety, depression and what not but, the main grounds for depression is the loss of motivation. It’s hard to get out of bed in the morning sometimes because you think, what is even my purpose in life? Do I even have any purpose or am I just useless? And when you try to explain it to people, they tend to misunderstand you. They advise you to not be so hard on yourself, but what they fail to comprehend, is the reason behind those thoughts.

When you’ve too many failures in life, at some point you feel like you have reached you breaking point, like you can’t go on anymore because it’s not worth it. That’s when you need to go on the most, not move on but heal. Because going on despite your failures is exactly what you need but, in that moment, when you’re just staring at the mess around, you start to wonder what your life has come to, it doesn’t strike you. You are swallowed by your own self-pity that you tend to get stuck in that one moment on repeat. So, instead of moving forward you end up reliving the past…again and again and again. That's where motivation plays a significant role because without it, no-one would survive. We would end up chasing our own tails for all of time.

Life isn’t always easy, sometimes you have to take the hard road because its the right thing to do. It sure as hell ain't going to be quick and painless but at the end of the day, if it’s helping you, you have to embrace it. Embrace the hurt and the pain, the anger, frustration, confusion, all of it. It’s gonna break you. It will crush your spirit. You will feel like a part of you died and it did. But after a while, a new you will be born. She will be better, brighter and driven to not let the past repeat.
