Meg's marriage
Meg's marriage
So, this is going to about Meg. She is a have it all and know it all. She grew up being close to her dad and is the elder sister out of movies. Meg's absolutely devoted to her parents and her entire family. She smiles, laughs and goes the extra mile to be there for everyone of them.
But. Yes. Just like everything else in life; there's a but. Meg got married (after much hesitation) and that too an arranged marriage. She made it clear to her hubby right from start that she needs time to mingle with others and hence suggested/requested for a separate place at the time of engagement. Meg's Hubby's family is sort of orthodox and quite conservative. They have suggested that it may not be possible and Meg's family wanted to cancel the wedding.
God has something else planned because the guy who got engaged with Meg was smitten by her beauty because even though she was 5feet 2 inches she wasn't even weighing more than 45kgs. And she knew how to be simple yet elegant. The man literally travelled from one end of the town to the other end just to stand in-front of her house and convince her to get married to him.
Wow. Isn't that romantic???? Well, little did that guy know then that all hell would break loose. Wanna know why? Because Meg was one of a kind. She wasn't one to step down or step back just because her Mother-in-law said it. Because she is Meg. She showed a part of her true self while she was getting married. It's as simple as getting a complete family picture and yes, she showed her true self right there.
She made sure that all of the family from her side stayed behind for a nice big family photo with everyone cheering whereas the boy's side family were flabbergasted because they weren't privy to such things before this. Like, how is it that she could ensure that this is orchestrated so fine for her family side but didn't know that it could be done for her husband's side of the family.
Well let's say that it was Meg's marriage day and she wasn't acquainted well enough with anyone. I mean, she herself is entering a new chapter in her life and needs to be acquainted first with the boy himself. So, I'll let this slide as a benefit of doubt.
There's one thing I must say. If I was Meg's parent; I would be so fricking proud of her for pulling this stunt. Like she showed them who is the boss. In your face - Boy's family. In your flabbergasted faces. This is Meg and she is married.
