Magical Fawn

In a jungle, a lion stalks a young deer kid (fawn) separated from its herd. The lion confronts him, ‘Prepare to die.’

The deer kid nonchalantly replies, ‘It’s you who will die!’

The very next moment, the lion leapt into the air towards the fawn. With a spark of light the deer kid moved exactly where the lion jumped from. The fawn’s move was so swift and fast, it was almost invisible. The monkeys on the trees gasped in surprise. The lion couldn’t believe what just happened. The lion put all his energy and moved as fast it could, but again the result was the same. The deer kid was way out of his reach. The lion roared loudly out of frustration, ‘it’s impossible.’ It was one of the most dreaded moments in the history of Jungle. The roar was so loud that every animal in the jungle heard it. A sense of fear spiked in the jungle. An angry lion was not good news for anyone. Animals hid in the nearest place they could, mothers brought their kids closer.

‘So, you are a little trickster. Let me show you some of my tricks’ said lion angrily.

Lion took few steps backwards and soon was in tall grasses. The fawn looking every side, but the cloudy and dark atmosphere favoured the lion.

‘Don’t worry kid, it will end soon.’ the sound of the lion came from the north side of grasses.

‘HAHA, I’m here to make sure that the jungle enjoys the shows.’ This time sound came from the west. ‘Oh yes, the jungle will enjoy and remember this day for generations to come,’ said the fawn boldly.

The next moment was unexpected by the fawn, without any sound, the lion leapt again. The fawn was not able to use its electric speed; the strong paws of the lion which were aimed at his neck hit his leg. The fawn started to bleed but moved at a safe distance from the lion. “Enough of your tricks lion, now your time is up,” said the fawn boldly. The jungle fell silent, birds stopped crippling, winds stopped, monkeys froze and darkness grew. For the first time in his life lion felt what is called fear. The lion was getting challenged, but it was not expected from a 2 feet high fawn. What happened next was not believable for anyone present there, horns started growing on the fawns head. The growth was fast and in an unnatural way. The horn grew pointed forward from both the sides like a kukri knife. The fawn started running towards the lion with his head down and horns straight towards the lion. The lion thought of running away, but the little fawn was fast like electric. Next moment, the dead lion was lying on the ground and the fawn’s horn were wet with lion’s blood.

Nobody saw the magical little fawn again in the jungle. The monkeys and rabbit told other animals about the magical little fawn, nobody believed them. The lion went mad and killed himself; this is what every other animal believed in.
