Chapter 1:

It was a bright day. The sun shone through her window, and woke her up from her dream. She brushed her teeth and took a quick bath. Then, she grabbed the sandwich her mom had made for her, and ran out. She was half wearing her shoes, half carrying her bag, and having the sandwich between in her mouth. But she didn't stop running. She had to go to class on time. She couldn't afford to go late on the 1st day of the semester that she was attending. She hadn't gone for the 1st week, since she had been ill.

That day, luck wasn't on her side. Just as she reached the crossroad to reach her school, the green lights turned red. She had to wait till it turned green. But she didn't have much time, so she looked left and right. There weren't any vehicles. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes for a moment and ran. All that mattered to her then, was to reach school on time.

HONK HONK!!

A loud noise came from her left side, and she turned to see a car speeding up on her. She wanted to run faster than she was running and reach the other side, but her legs went numb. She couldn't move. She put her hands to her face, and sat down on the road.

Suddenly, she felt someone tug at her arm, and pulling her. Before the car reached her, she was on the other side of the road, her arm tightly clutched between his wrist. He was breathing heavily.

"Are you mad?! Why would you cross the road when the lights are red? Even if you did had to cross in a rush, you should've moved on! Why did you have to just sit there? Oh my god, I was terrified for a minute! Please be careful! Oh, I have to go! Bye!"

And he ran off, before she could thank him. She didn't ask his name either. Nam Ju-ri was slightly disappointed that she couldn't thank him, but reality hit her soon, and she ran in. She was 1 minute early. She went and sat in her seat, and took out her books.

"Ju-ri! How are you feeling now? You know, many cool new kids joined this semester! There's also this guy named Kim Chan-woo, who's super dreamy! It's just been a week since he came here, but literally every girl in our school is fangirling over him! He's in our class! He even glanced at me and smiled yesterday! Also..."

Choi Min-ah continued. But Ju-ri didn't hear a word, nor did she respond. All that was on her mind, was that guy who saved her. The guy whom she never got to thank. As soon as Kim Chan-woo entered the class, everyone stood around him, and started asking him all sorts of things

"Did you eat breakfast Chan-wooya?"

"I heard you hit your head with a ball, are you all right?"

"Can I have your number, please?"

It was too noisy, that even if he had replied to any of those questions, none would've heard or understood. The teacher soon came and hushed everyone, and sent them to their desks.

"Everyone, please welcome Nam Ju-ri back! She didn't come since the beginning of the week, since she was ill."

Ju-ri walked up to the front of the class and bowed slightly.

"Hi everyone. I'm Nam Ju-ri. Except for the new students, I'm sure the others know me. I hope everyone will treat me well like you've always done."

She smiled and went back to her seat. That was it. Kim Chan-woo was attracted to her as soon as he saw her. Her eyes glimmered and shone when she smiled, her hair curled perfectly into shape, and her uniform made her look like an angel. Everything she did during the class, Chan-woo tried imitating it, to get her attention. But Ju-ri's mind was completely taken by that guy from the street.

Classes proceeded and soon, lunch break came. Everyone rushed over to Chan-woo's place, and offered to sit with him during lunch, in the hope of befriending him. He refused them politely, took his lunch tray, and walked over to Ju-ri, who was drowning herself in her book.

"Hi, Nam Ju-ri. I am Kim Chan-woo. I'd like to make your acquaintance. Can we be friends?"

Ju-ri didn't move. She didn't hear what he had said. She was too busy reading the 'Pride and Prejudice' that she didn't notice Chan-woo talking to her.

"Ahm, excuse me, Ju-ri ssi?"(ssi is a sign of respect)

This time, he was loud enough to reach her ears.

"Ah yes? Did you call me? I'm so sorry, I was drowning in this book, I didn't notice you..."

Her answer shocked everyone. Even Chan-woo was thinking the same thing. 'How could his presence not affect her in any way?'

"My name is Kim Chan-woo. I'd like to make your acquaintance...do you mind if we have lunch together?"

She smiled and nodded. Excited, Chan-woo placed his tray on the table and sat opposite to her. "I'll be reading till the end of this chapter before eating. You can eat till then! Please don't wait for me!" She said.

Chan-woo nodded, but he couldn't do it. He was too into her expressions, and her amazing charisma, that he just couldn't eat a single spoon, and yet felt full. The bell rang.

"Oh, no! I didn't eat my lunch yet again! Oh god, I'm about to be late! Chan-woo, aren't you coming? We have art class now! Chan-woo? Chan-woo!"

"Ah? Ah, yes. Let's go."

They both went to class together. Chan-woo was filled with happiness. He tried to hide his cute smile, but he just couldn't when he was with her. Others cast looks, and whispered to each other. They were all surprised to see the silent and the most pretty girl in the whole school, going to class with the handsome new student.

They sat next to each other. Min-ha, even though she said she had a crush on Chan-woo, she slightly enjoyed seeing him falling for her bestie.

"Ok, students. Everyone is now sitting in pairs. I want one of you to paint the other using water colours. Whoever does it the best, will get a special gift. Also, don't make it look too normal. You can also add a few imaginary elements to the picture."

Nam Ju-ri immediately turned to Chan-woo.

"I can't draw well. I'll be the model. You paint. Ok?" He nodded. "Which pose do you want me to do?" "Just take out your book and read it. I'll draw it pretty naturally."

This lit up her mood, since she got to read her favourite book even during class. She nodded and started reading her book. Even though he didn't want to take his eyes off her, he still had to paint. He captured each of her expressions beautifully into a single picture. After drawing her, he added a flower on her head, with a butterfly on it. He painted a dark sky with tons of clouds and a lot of rain. He painted lots of trees but no leaves. But even in this mess of a place, the girl in the picture was smiling. Even though it was raining hard, she didn't get drenched. She was happy, and engrossed in her book. She was the source of happiness.

"This is a masterpiece, Chan-woo!" The teacher exclaimed. She couldn't contain her happiness in seeing such a wonderful picture. She appreciated his creativity and told him that his was the most perfect depiction of how a truly happy person was. Even if everything around them was dark, and there were a million reasons to give up, he/she found one source of happiness and clung onto it. It wasn't because he/she was afraid of giving up. It was because that this choice made them happier. She graded them both with full marks.

Soon, the class ended. Everyone was crowding around to see the picture. Ju-ri, who hated to be in a noisy place, rushed out of the crowd, and out of the room. She stood there, near the door, and glanced in. Chan-woo was sitting there, showing everyone the painting he drew. A smile entered her face.

"Hey, aren't you the girl from the street?" A familiar voice came from behind her. There he was, the guy who saved her, standing right behind her, with his face just about an inch away from hers. She panicked and leaned backward. She almost fell down, when he caught her by the hip, just in time. Just like in her favourite dramas, they shared a moment together, before she withdrew fast. There couldn't be anything redder than her face.

Chapter 2:

"I'm sorry if I startled you, dear. I was just surprised to see you here!"

"It's ok...ah yes. I forgot to thank you. Thank you so much for saving me!"

He smiled and slightly patted her head. "I hope you won't go and do like that again, just because I'm around to save you. I will save you, but that doesn't mean you should be reckless!"

This sent butterflies through her stomach. She was feeling something unstoppable. It was a gushed feeling. She didn't know if that weird feeling was because she was hungry, or because she was in love.

"Oh, hi Han Jung-woon!" Called Chan-woo as he walked out. He glanced at Ju-ri, and tried to pretend he didn't notice her.

"Ah, Chan-woo! I came to see you, but I guess you were busy! Who was your partner today?"

"It was her. Nam Ju-ri. But it looks like you've met before!"

They both nodded. "He saved me from an accident today morning..."

"Oh, wait...you almost got into an accident today? Oh god, you should be careful! How did you get into an accident? Did you get hurt? Are you sure you're ok? Should we call the teacher? Or should we go to the hospital?"

"Oh my god, stop Chan-woo! She's totally fine. I saved her before anything happened ok? Come with me now, we gotta talk..."

And he dragged Chan-woo away.

Han Jung-woon...his name is Han Jung-woon.

Again, her mind was now filled with fantasies about him. Before, all she knew about him, was his face. But now, she knew his name. During the other classes that day, her mind kept wavering to him. She hoped she could see him again that day.

Classes soon ended, and it was time to go home. As she passed through the other classes, she kept glancing inside and ahead of her, to see if Jung-woon was there. But no. Maybe he had already left with his friends. Her face dulled a little, and she kept walking, still catching onto that tiny hope, of meeting him. She reached the end of the hallway, but he wasn't anywhere to be found. She sighed, and started walking out. But it started raining very heavily. She was in such a rush that morning that she didn't check the weather forecast. It was supposed to rain that day.

She had to run. She didn't have an umbrella, and she didn't want to get ill again. She wiped off the little droplets of water on her as she ran, and soon went and stood in front of a department store. She stood under the shade, and wiped away the water on her face and shirt. She was quick at running, so she wasn't soaked, but she did get a bit wet. Now, it was time for her to wait till the rain stopped.

She hadn't eaten lunch either, and felt hungry. So, she went into the store and tried to see if there was anything good there to eat. She found a cup of instant jjamppong. She started eating it. She ate it quite fast. As soon as she finished, she went to the cashier and asked how much it cost.

"It's my treat, Ju-ri."

She was startled. She looked at his face. Only his smile was visible. He removed his cap. "Surprising, isn't it? It's me, Chan-woo. I work here, you know. You didn't bring an umbrella? Oh no...it would be a pity if you got ill again! I'll let you borrow my umbrella. I'll be staying here for a while, and the rain should stop by then. You can return it to me tomorrow. Ok? Take the jjamppong as my treat, since I know you skipped lunch. Reach home safe!"

She smiled and thanked him. She took his black umbrella, and walked home. It was barely 4PM, but due to the heavy rain, it looked like late night. The rain got heavier, and she found it hard to not get wet. Since it got too dark, and rain splashed about, she couldn't see properly, and soon got lost. It took her about half an hour of walking around to realise that she lost her way.

It was a dark street. The rain was slowing down, but her heartbeat got faster. She could feel something uneasy. It was as if she was being followed. She turned around, and looked in all directions. But there was no one. Everything was dark, and she was scared. She took out her phone and tapped it. But it was out of power.

"Ok, so I guess it's about time I reveal myself. You can't escape anyways." A dark hooded figure, soaking wet, came from behind a pole. She was able to tell it was a man, from his voice and his well-built figure. "Who are you?" She asked in a voice mixed with fear.

"You wanna know? Ok then. Don't be surprised." Said the deep voice. He took his hand to his hood, and slowly removed it.

Chapter 3:

"I pranked you! HAHAHA!!" he screamed. It was Han Jung-woon. "I saw you walking in front of my street. It looked like you were lost. A young girl walking all alone, in the rain, when it's this dark, isn't something I wanted to leave unnoticed. So I followed you. Only later did I realise it was you! You need help?"

Ju-ri breathed a sigh of relief. "Ah, I was scared to death! You didn't have to prank me like that! Aishh..."

They both had a good laugh. By that time, the rain had completely stopped, and the sun started shining. "I guess you could close the umbrella now. Tell me your address. I'll drop you off!"

He took her home. "Oh, you live with your parents? Lucky you...I lost both of mine a year ago. Last year I concentrated on earning money and didn't go to school. But because of my good marks, they allowed me to come to this grade directly instead of being a grade behind."

"Oh, I'm sorry...you're welcome to come visit anytime. I'm sure my parents would love to make you lunch!"

They both had such beautiful smiles on their faces.

Maybe he feels the same way as me.

Maybe she feels the same way as I do.

They were thinking the same thing. They both were attracted to each other. They had fallen for each other. Both couldn't take the eyes off of the other. Finally, Jung-woon took the first step. He grabbed her waist, and pulled her in. "I can't help it. You're too pretty for me to control myself." Saying thus, he embraced her into a his arms and held her tight. She was shocked at first, but soon, melted away into his sweetness.

Chan-woo, on the other side, was searching for Ju-ri. He had called Min-ah and asked her for Ju-ri's number. He had tried calling Ju-ri to see if she had reached home safely. But, her phone was switched off. He got worried, and had started running around and searching for her. That was when the disaster struck. He searched up and down, and finally saw Ju-ri. He was about to call out to her, but saw Jung-woon with her. He stood there, waiting for him to leave, so he could go and ask her if she was fine. But Jung-woon pulled Ju-ri into a tight. It broke his heart. He had wanted to run to her and hug her, but seeing those two hug made him feel something. He couldn't tell if it was jealousy or sadness. He ran off.

"Ju-ri, are you back dear? What's that noise out there?" Her mom called out. She immediately withdrew from the hug. "I'm so sorry...I have to go. I'll meet you tomorrow. Bye!" She climbed up the stairs, but he caught her wrist, and pulled her into a tight hug.

"I don't want to let you go, but your mom might beat me up if I don't. I want to be in a good shape if I want to gain your attention. I'll meet you tomorrow. Stay safe!" He kissed her forehead, and let her go inside.

She smiled and went in. Her face was redder than it was that morning. She couldn't stop thinking about him. His lips were sweet, and they tasted of candy.

He must've chewed on strawberry candy. I can still taste it. She thought to herself.

Soon, the day passed. The next day, Ju-ri woke up pretty early, and got dressed properly. She took time in having a bath, and even wore makeup. She took care in curling her hair, and wore long earrings instead of studs. As for her uniform, she neatly ironed it, and tucked it in when she wore it. She looked prettier than before. The thought of meeting Jung-woon, brought the prettiest smile to her face.

"Ma, I'm going to school a bit early today! Bye!" She screamed and took Chan-woo's umbrella and ran. She was near the department store when she met Chan-woo. He avoided her eyes, and turned around as if he didn't see her.

"Chan-woo! Wait for me!" She said in a loud voice and ran up to him. "Thank you so much for lending me the umbrella yesterday. If not for you, I would've caught another cold! Here is your umbrella. To thank you, i'll treat you to lunch today. We'll have lunch outside. Ok?"

Even though Chan-woo knew he'd be disappointed he agreed.

"By the way, Chan-wooya, what's wrong with your face? Oh my god, your eyes are swollen like hell! Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." He said in a hushed manner and pushed her hand away. "I fell down."

Ju-ri knew that this wasn't true, but she understood that he didn't want to reveal the real reason, and asked no more.

"Can I walk with you to school? We barely know each other. You still helped me. I wanna be your friend. Are you fine with that?"

He wanted to say 'No' very badly. He knew that getting closer to her, would break his heart even more. But he just couldn't bring himself to say no to her. No matter how heartbreaking it would be, he was ready to endure it, just because it could make her smile.

"Ok sure." He replied. "Cool! Ok, so now, I'll ask you any five questions, and you have to answer truthfully. You can do the same with me! Ok?"

He nodded and she started asking him questions. "What's your favourite thing to do? Like, your favourite subject, or hobby?" "I like playing basketball, and my favourite subject is art. I really love sketching, you know."

"Wow, no wonder you drew me so well. Wait, do you still have that picture you drew of me?"

"Is that considered a question?"

"No...just that, if you have it, and you don't need it for anything, I'd like to take it home. It was extraordinary."

"HAHAHA, sure. It's there at school. I couldn't carry it because it was raining. It won't rain today, so i'll help you take it!"

They both continued talking, and asking each other questions. They soon reached school.

"Aww, it's a pity we came already. It was fun chatting with you! As promised, I'll buy you lunch today. Wait for me!" Ju-ri said and skipped away happily. Chan-woo couldn't help but smile. He knew she liked Jung-woon, and that he liked her too. He knew he didn't stand a chance. And even if Ju-ri came to like him, he wouldn't date her unless Jung-woon agreed.

Chapter 4:

They both walked to class separately, since Chan-woo insisted. He didn't want people to misunderstand. Ju-ri went to class first, and just sat in her seat, when Jung-woon stormed into the class.

"Where is Chan-woo? WHERE THE HECK IS HE?"

As bad as the timing could be, Chan-woo walked in, right at that time.

"YOU BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU DO IT TO ME? I TOOK YOU FOR MY BROTHER, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS? HOW?!"

Screaming so, he started beating up Chan-woo. Chan-woo didn't attack back, nor did he defend himself in any way. It was like he expected this to happen. Seeing this, Ju-ri somehow couldn't stop herself.

"Stop! Just stop hitting him! STOP IT!" She screamed, as she went and stood in front of Chan-woo. "I know I don't have any right to speak here, buti just can't take it. Even if there is reason for you to be angry with him, it isn't right to beat anyone! This is insane! No matter what the problem is, I have the solution for it."

Saying so, she grabbed the right wrist of Chan-woo and left wrist of Jung-woon and dragged them both out. The surprising thing was, she was able to drag BOTH OF THEM, even though BOTH WERE RESISTING. She was much stronger than she looked. She dragged them all the way to the fourth block in the building. It was prohibited, and no one entered it, unless the teachers or someone with access there allowed them to. She took them to the last room in the 4th floor, pushed them in, and closed the door. Then she went to the window and opened it.

"You guys better not try to escape and sort out this trouble without killing each other. And you both have something called MOUTHS, so use them. No one's gonna hear you guys even if you're gonna swear, so just go ahead and shout at each other if you're angry. But do NOT hit each other! Or i'll make sure you both are locked here until you faint from hunger. I'll check on you guys later. Bye."

Saying so, she walked back to the class. Everyone was surprised and asked her what happened. "Just stop talking will you? I've taken care of the situation, and I am ready to explain to the teacher, so mind your own business!" This was even more unlike her, since she not only talked to those around her, but also was rude!

On the other hand, Jung-woon and Chan-woo didn't speak a word. They faced opposite sides, and were totally silent. The classes ended, and Ju-ri decided to check on them during the lunch break. She didn't want them to know she was there, so she silently crept up to the window and looked at them. They were very silent. She spent some time waiting, but they didn't speak.

"When are you going to speak to me. You should listen to what I have to say." Started Chan-woo

"Ok, i'm listening. Let's see what you have to tell. Even though you're the one who reported me for cheating on the exam, even though you know you cheated too, i'm being pretty patient with you."

"Look, I didn't report you. I was in the staffroom, when the teacher suddenly called me, and showed a video of you cheating. He asked me if I knew about it. I said I didn't know. If I said I knew, it would've become a bigger issue, you know?"

"I just can't believe that such a quiet girl, has an amazing strength and also the sleight of hand! She even took my phone, or we could've asked someone for help" Said Jung-woon.

At this point, Ju-ri decided to enter. "I practice Taekwondo in secret you know."

Both were equally astonished to see the charming and cute Ju-ri, look so handsome all of a sudden.

"I wanted to release you guys with an apology if you guys stayed silent any longer. I'm glad you both spoke out. Since you guys are out of tension now, why don't you speak after eating lunch?"

"We would love to eat, but before that, it's almost 12:15, so I have to update my story on instagram. You don't want others to think I got kidnapped right? Just give me my phone."

She handed them their phones. "Now, shall we have lunch? I have something else for you guys to do too, you know..."

"What else now?!" Both weren't happy to be next to each other for any longer.

"If you don't want to see me use my taekwondo moves, then you both should feed each other."

"No way, i'm never feeding him!" "Who wants to feed this idiot? Nope, i'm off"

"If even one of you refuses to not feed the other, BOTH OF YOU won't get your food."

Without speaking any more, they each took a spoon and fed each other. The fun part here was, without their knowledge, she filmed it!

"Ok, you guys are done eating right? Ok, no matter how much you fight after this, I don't care. Because next time you both make a chaotic scenario, you'll always be reminded of this!" She pointed to her phone. Jung-woon and Chan-woo looked at each other.

"Wait, I really don't want to hear this, but I really suspect that it happened. I'm sure that's what you're thinking too Jung-woon..."

"Yup, totally. If only I knew any martial art. I can't even fight her now. We're roasted. I beg you, please don't tell them about it!"

"Wait, what are you both thinking?"

"We're thinking you recorded us both feeding each other! Right, Chan-woo?" "Yup..."

"Woah, is that what you guys thought? But, it is true!"

Saying so, she ran out, with her phone held high above her head. The boys started chasing her, and they had a fun time.

Classes resumed after the break, and everyone was in their seats. The teacher walked in with a big smile on his face.

"What's the wrong teacher? I have never seen you smile before!" Started Choi Min-ah.

"Yes, yes, I know you're surprised. Ok, let's not take much longer. Choon-hee, come on in dear."

Choon-hee walked in. She shined like a diamond in the bright sunlight penetrating through the windows. She looked like a doll, and wore the prettiest smile. Even though she was also wearing the same uniform as others, it looked as if there was something more charming when she wore it. All boys had their eyes on her. Expect Jung-woon and Chan-woo.

"Hello everyone! My name is Choon-hee. I would like to introduce myself as Jung-woon's girlfriend. Our parents are pretty close, and I grew up with him since we were 3!"

All girls looked now at Jung-woon with sad eyes for not getting him, while all boys looked at him with anger for snatching away an angel. The teacher smiled and asked her to sit next to Jung-woon. Ju-ri slowly turned to look at Jung-woon. He was already staring at her, right into her eyes.

"Why did you lure me when you already knew this?"

"No matter what happens, you're the only one in my heart. I won't let anything get in the way."

Their eyes spoke to each other. Even though they wanted to console themselves, they knew they were in trouble after this.

Chapter 5:

The day went by silently. They both tried to ignore each other during all classes, but somehow they ended up stealing glances at each other.

"Min-ah, I wanna talk to you. Can we meet up at your place after school?" Asked Ju-ri.

"Sure! I'll tell my mom you're staying for today. You promised you'd come for a sleepover anyways. I have your spare clothes, so don't bother to stop home. Ok?"

She nodded. Classes ended, and Choon-hee grabbed Jung-woon's arm tight. "Drop me home, will you?"

Jung-woon shrugged her off.

"Look, just because of our parents, I would never date you. Get off me. I already have someone I like."

"Whoever it is, she probably hates you now since you have a girlfriend. You better ignore her. There's no way you can marry anyone else. You're all mine."

Saying so, she leaned in to kiss him. He pushed her away, and she hit her arm against a wall. He walked away, searching for Ju-ri.

"Ah, whoever that girl is, she is getting on my nerves. I have to find out who it is."

She took out her phone and called someone.

"Hello? Yes, I have a small request. Search up someone for me will you? Someone whom Jung-woon likes. I want everything about her in an hour."

On the other hand, Ju-ri and Min-ah were walking home together.

"What did you want to tell me, Ju-ri? Don't tell me you like Jung-woon?! You've got a strong rival."

Ju-ri sighed.

"Is it too obvious?"

"Totally"

"Ok, so should I give up?"

"Of course, you shouldn't. Just because you got a strong rival, doesn't mean only the strong people would win. You've got a chance!"

"So, what should I do now?"

"Make him jealous. He has to open up about liking you to the whole school. Then, you should get together with him, and face your future."

"You got ideas?"

"I've got Chan-woo's number. Want it?"

"No worries, I got his number too, but I dont want to use him. I feel bad"

"Who said you're gonna use him?! Just tell him the truth!"

"Are you sure?"

"That's the only way he won't feel bad if he chooses to pursue you."

"What?!"

"Don't tell me you had no idea he liked you!"

"I seriously didn't, OMG!"

"It would be like giving him a gift too. Like, even though you don't like him in that way, you're still giving him a chance to date you. Who knows, you may even get over Jung-woon and fall for Chan-woo! Worth giving the boy a try, he's a darling. Remember the night where you got lost in the rain? He called me and said your phone was switched off and that he was scared. Since you hadn't reached home, he went up and down searching for you in the rain! You shouldn't ignore him."

"Hmm, ok. I'll call him today evening then. Shall I ask him to come over? Like, not for a sleepover if you're uncomfortable. I'll ask to him to visit and then maybe I could explain, and then we could go out tomorrow?"

"I'll just tell my mom we've got another person for a sleepover. I've got ideas."

Just as they finished this conversation, Chan-woo unexpectedly bumped into them. It was the perfect timing.

"Oh hey Ju-ri! Where are you going?"

Min-ah interrupted.

"Ahm, there's me here too. Why, is there only Ju-ri in your eyes, that you can't see other people?"

"Sorry, Min-ah! So, where are the prettiest girls of our class headed to?"

"Home. By the way, Chan-woo I want to speak to you for a while. Min-ah knows about it too, so do you mind coming over tonight to Min-ah's place for a sleepover?"

"Hmm, sure! I'd love to spend the night at someone else's place, because it means free spa!"

We laughed and walked towards Min-ah's home. While they were walking, Min-ah suddenly stopped.

"OMG, I forgot to bring my pouch! I left it in the bench! Oh my god, it even has my pocket diary in it, if someone finds out, I'm dead! Oh god, i'm going to get it. Ju-ri knows the way Chan-woo, you guys go to my place and wait for me. Ok? Be right back!"

Saying so, she ran off. After turning at the end of the street, she stopped running and peeked back. The other two were walking.

"Phew, I had to run so hard to set those two up alone. Now, time for some secret photos!"

She took out her phone and started following them in secret. Ju-ri stopped under a tree.

"Let's just wait for her here. I'll feel weird inside her house when she isn't there. Is it ok?"

"No problem at all!"

The breeze was light, and the leaves on the tree fell down softly. A small leaf fell on Ju-ri's hair and Chan-woo's eye caught it. He tried to ignore it, because he was a bit shy to pick it off. But he couldn't control himself.

"There's a leaf on your hair."

Saying so, he slowly picked it out, and dusted her hair by caressing it softly. Their eyes met. Min-ah caught that moment beautifully in her phone and immediately sent it to the school group. Their moment was interrupted by a sudden notification. They saw their phones, to see themselves staring at each other in the eye. It looked like they were dating.

"I'm going to murder you. COME OUT RIGHT NOW, MIN-AH!" Shouted Chan-woo.

Min-ah couldn't help but laugh out loud. She came out, teased them, and ran off. Chan-woo was about to go catch her, when Ju-ri caught his arm, and pulled him back. With that force, she leaned on the tree, with Chan-woo leaning on her. Chan-woo blushed and withdrew.

"I'm sorry for that. I just wanted to stop you from blaming her. I told you I have something to talk to you about right? I'll tell you now."

She explained the situation and how she wanted to pursue Jung-woon. Chan-woo didn't seem surprised.

"If it would make you happy, I'm ready to do anything. And I already knew you liked Jung-woon. I saw you both hugging outside your house...and don't worry, I moved on! I decided that he could treat you better. You know I used to be the coolest guy in school right? I can't waste my time crying over a girl!"

"You're cool now too Chan-woo! You'll be my bestie right?" He nodded and gave a big, bright smile.

With that, and a smile on his face, he dragged her arm. "Show the way to her house."

Ju-ri too smiled and led the way.

Jung-woon on the other hand who had seen that picture, was heartbroken. He felt cheated and decided to find her, and sort this issueout, before it blows up. That was when he overheard Choon-hee talking to someone.

"Finish her off. It's because of her Jung-woon is determined to leave me. If she's dead, he doesn't have a choice but to date me. Make sure it's done clean, and that my name is never mentioned if her body is discovered. Also, she shouldn't die simply. She should be tortured. What? An idea to kill her? Just drown her and send me a video of it. I wanna enjoy it."

Jung-woon's eyes widened, and he rushed to her, grabbed her phone and cut the call.

"What the heck are you doing?!" He shouted.

Chapter 6:

"She doesn't deserve you, Jung-woon ah! I won't take back my words. You won't be able to save her. Unless you agree to date me..."

He couldn't help but heed to her request. He knew she wasn't the type to give up what she wants. He decided to pretend to date her, and tell Ju-ri about it later. And then he remembered the picture, and decided that Chan-woo could be the right one for her, because he could protect her well, while Jung-woon couldn't be by her side. He begged Choon-hee to call those people off. Choon-hee nodded and sent a text.

"I've told them."

"Show it to me!"

"Don't you trust your own girlfriend?"

"I don't, now show it!"

She showed her phone, and he was assured. She asked him to take her home, and he did as he was told, afraid she do something to Ju-ri because of this. He dropped her home and went straight back home. Throughout the whole time, his mind was always on Ju-ri. He regretted ever loving her, since he couldn't protect her by being on her side, and instead has to be bad to her. He decided to ignore her.

Meanwhile on the other hand, Min-ah had gotten home. Chan-woo, Ju-ri and Min-ah had a wonderful time, taking selfies, chatting, and doing makeup on each other. It was about midnight, when they decided to play truth or dare.

"I choose Truth!" Said Min-ah.

"Name your crush." Said Ju-ri, slightly glancing at Chan-woo. Ju-ri, being a good observer, noticed Min-ah blushing and being shy around Chan-woo. She had discovered she liked him.

Min-ah blushed, but she took the chance to confess.

"Chan-woo. Kim Chan-woo." She said. Ju-ri's face lit up brighter than a star in the night sky. Min-ah blushed and went out of the room. Chan-woo looked surprised and glad at the same time. It seemed as if, after knowing about Ju-ri being taken, Chan-woo had accidently fallen for Min-ah! He followed her outside.

Min-ah stood outside the door, all shy and hiding her face beneath her palms. He slowly took her hands into his, and stared into her eyes. She stared back. He slowly pulled her closer, and embraced her hard. He took his mouth near her ear and whispered, "Would you like to date me, Min-ah?"

Her eyes lit up, and blushing a lot, she pushed him away slightly. Her face was redder than a tomato. After gathering her voice, she whispered. "Yes". They both smiled.

Ju-ri on the other hand was dying of suspense. She wanted to know so badly what happened. She didn't want to go out, since she didn't want to disturb their 'moment'. The two walked in together, holding hands. Ju-ri, seeing that lit up so happily.

"Wow, this is great news! I have to tell everyone about this!"

She said and took her out her phone. But both of them stopped her.

"We're going to keep our relationship secret. We decided to go according to our plan to help you get Jung-woon. Don't worry, we're fine about it!"

Ju-ri blushed, thanked them both, and then they all went to sleep. They walked together to school the next day. There, they were surprised to see Jung-woon sitting with Choon-hee. Jung-woon, even after seeing Ju-ri enter, didn't budge. Ju-ri went to his seat, and greeted Choon-hee.

"Hi, I'm Ju-ri."

"I'm not interested in being your friend. Go back, and don't waste your time." She said in a disgusted manner. Insulted, Ju-ri turned to see Jang-woon. He didn't react to what Choon-hee said, nor did he defend Ju-ri. He seemed unaffected. Ju-ri, with a sad mind, walked back to her place.

The whole day went by, but Jung-woon didn't even glance towards Ju-ri. At the end of the day, Ju-ri approached Jung-woon and pulled him out of the classroom. He resisted, but his power was nothing compared to her strong yet soft hands. They reached the end of the hallway, turned, and entered the first classroom. It was empty.

"What is wrong? Why won't you speak to me? Why do you keep avoiding me?"

"I didn't avoid you. I went back to my old self." He said in a very cold voice.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked with tears almost flowing down her cheeks.

"It was wrong of me to be lured by you, when I already had Choon-hee. It was my fault. I'm sorry, but I was never interested in you. You were like a distraction when Choon-hee wasn't there. Since she's here now, why don't we go back to being ourselves? We weren't suitable to each other anyways."

He couldn't have ever done it, if he didn't say it then. Because the look on her face, was so desperate and she was about to burst into tears. All he wanted was to hug her tight, and make sure she never cried. He didn't want to say it, but he didn't have a choice. He was becoming a problem in her life, but all he wanted to give her was happiness. If being with him would cause her misfortune, then he was ready to go as far as possible to make sure he doesn't affect her in a bad way.

Ju-ri ran. His words echoed in her ear, and she wanted to kill herself for thinking he liked her. She ran and ran. She kept running until her legs collapsed, and she couldn't move an inch. Her knees were bleeding from the fall, her feet were swollen, and she covered her face and started crying. It slowly started raining. It was like the world knew her sorrow, and couldn't help but cry.

"Why would I even think he was meant to be mine? Why did I get my hopes up? If I had known this would happen, I wouldn't have fallen for him in the first place"

Thinking so, she starting beating herself, and cried even louder. The rain fell harder, and her phone was ringing. She took it out, and saw that it was Jung-woon. She wanted to attend it and hear him speak, but her hands threw them away. Her eyes were blurred from crying and all she wanted was to be in a warm and cozy place. Slowly, her eyes closed, and she fainted on the road.

Chapter 7 FINALE:

She never woke up.

Min-ah and Chan-woo cried and cried but that was of no use. She died just like that. The doctors said she had a weak heart since before, but no one knew. She had a cardiac arrest from the shock and had died.

They couldn't take it at all. Her parents didn't hear of the news yet, and Min-ah didn't want them to worry and get themselves ill too. She called her own parents and told them of the issue and arranged to send Ju-ri's parents abroad, so they don't suspect anything.

Chan-woo on the other hand was extremely enraged. Even though he loves Min-ah, his sisterly feelings toward Ju-ri was extremely strong. He couldn't bear the fact that Ju-ri died because of someone like him. By the time Chan-woo got to Jung-woon's place, Jung-woon was gone. He disappeared completely. No one knew where he was. Everyone from Jung-woon parents, Chan-woo to Choon-hee searched up and down for him, but they couldn't find him.

Jung-woon had heard the news of Ju-ri's death. He regretted having telling her that he hated her. He regretted showing her all his love, and betraying her in the end. He regretted not telling her the truth, and let her suffer. He regretted everything he did. He wished he never met her, so they both wouldn't have had such a heartbreak. He couldn't stop himself anymore. He wanted to join Ju-ri. So, he ran. He ran as far as he could into a nearby hill-station. He ran through the trees, bushes, and everything that was there. He ran until he reached the cliff. Crying, he fell down into the water, and got crushed into bits. He sacrificed himself for having hurt his one and only love.
