On a Sunday evening, Satwik drove his car through the deserted roads of the jungle. Some of the iron nails over the road decided to curb his jovial mood when they weaved together to puncture the car tyres. Satwik's countenance frowned the moment his car came to an abrupt halt. He pulled out his phone and tried dialling his home but the network in the area failed to accompany his request. He banged his fist on the bonnet of the car which continued to reflect the sun's rays. The scorching heat had already taken a toll on his health and the car puncture rubbed salts to his wounds. His gaze swept around the deserted forest which looked innocuous but never trust the silent covers, you never know what is hidden beneath its shroud. He thought someone would pull him out of this predicament. Subsequently, he spent an hour waiting for ham beings to emerge but to no avail. The rustling leaves danced to the tunes directed by the winds. He slapped his head for his forgettable nature due to which he had no spares at this crucial juncture. His musings were interrupted by the flock of birds that messed up the tree a few yards ahead of him. He was scarcely interested in those birds which would in no way assure him unassailable protection against the secret devils lurking in the jungle.

In the evening to quench his thirst, his mind compelled him to find a river nearby. He trudged through the bushes accompanied by perspiration. His long and arduous walk was fruitful as he glanced at the pristine river sprawled across him. The spectacular view was backdropped with the glittering sun. Soaking in the picturesque view, Satwik for a moment forgot the reason why he had come here. His thirst gave him a respite to enjoy the paradise unveiled ahead of him. He forbade consternation at this bliss evoking moment. He closed his eyes with a breeze nudging his hairs to render him goosebumps. Someone seemed to have prodded his shoulders which made him swing back but to his surprise, there wasn't anyone at all. The smile returned to his face to give an illuminated glow before he quenched his third by slurping river water. A tree that seemed to have been at a distance initially, emerged next to him to cease his joy. Is there any ghost nearby who is playing tricks with him or is it his mind conning him? He examined the weird tree which was in stark contrast to the other trees. It had long leaves that even touched the ground reflecting sunlight. He deemed it perilous to stay next to the tree so hastened towards his car. Another surprise sprang up as his car was absent from its original spot. Drowned in perspiration, his vulnerable mind ran out of ideas. Ceaseless breaths accumulated to drain him out. Has the jungle begun to display its hidden secrets to torment Satwik who is grappling with the weird circumstances? Does the forest show no solicitude to its guest?

Satwik shrieked with his voice reverberating across the forest. Steeped in fear, he was astonished beyond measure when he was confronted by a chimpanzee. The solemn look on its face sent a warning signal that it was enraged. It plopped on the top of the car in a meditative posture which bewildered Satwik as he couldn't fathom how the car materialized out of thin air. Is this chimpanzee the boss of this unpredictable jungle? He prostrates before the chimpanzee to earn some sympathy but when he scrambled back to his knees the chimpanzee had disappeared along with the car. He wondered if he was acting in a ghost movie with the peculiar circumstances perturbed and bewildered him to the core. Since the car punctured, he had forsaken joy and replaced it with horror. Instantaneously, a long snake fell from the top of the tree to make him skip his heartbeat. The long snake confronted him by daringly unveiling its hood. With dread penetrated to his whole body, Satwik refused to view the snake. After some time, the snake departed without striking a man in front. Satwik heaved a sigh of relief but knew that it was short-lived and at any moment his life force may disappear to the conspiracy hatched by this unpredictable jungle.

The sun realized it was time for him to disappear into the horizon so that the dusk could take control over the jungle. Even with the daylight, the jungle was a horror story and with the night dawned now things would only take a wild turn. Lonely nights in the jungle comes with a lot of horror moments. Satwik nestled his nack against the tree trunk with closed eyes. Like a torrential downpour, the leaves of the giant tree heaped upon him to further maximise his fear. Propagation of bees on the heap of leaves kindled horror as they diligently crawled over his body without his permission. He dusted his clothes and ran as fast as he could to escape from the relentless bees. He scoured his countenance and racked his brain when his car automatically passed along the road in slow motion. He chases the car to desperately peek inside to find the real face of the driver but to his astonishment, the car was moving with no driver. Launching a fresh attack, the car ushered him in with his disoriented mind still unable to come to terms with the reality. He stomped on the accelerator and steered the car forward to dodge away from the perils manufactured by the jungle. As his gaze hovered above the rear end mirror, he shrieked hard with the ghost seated behind with a smiley face. He implores the ghost to leave the car by the ghost strangulating him mercilessly squeezing joy in his misery. Satwik, screamed in pain only to realize there was no one around him. He rose awake from his sleep to realize he was in his house not in any perilous jungle.
